Time to have some fun, & raise some money to help Sarge & Mrs Sarge at the same time! :o)

Please help and spread the word through out your Division Groups!
We are short on days now (2 DAYS!!) OMG!!! (o:

All the proceeds go to Sarge and his wife. They provide and purchase the food and hold this amazing reception for all of us to feel welcome and get information about our SRs – just because we are families/lovedones of Sailors!
Let’s Pay it forward, Pay it forward!

Anyone that would like to put together a basket filled with items to represent your home state or items you have crafted, baked, or borrowed (& forgot to return to the neighbor that moved) ;o)   Maybe you crochet, or paint, or knit, or woodwork.

Holiday themes: Thanksgiving is here, Christmas is coming, Football teams(go Bears!!) lol.. We can have many different baskets with many different things in them: Sports items, Challenge Coins. Blue Candles. The possibilities are endless, anything goes!  Really it is whatever you want to bring. There is a dollar store and a Walmart right across the street for people to buy baskets if flying in. You can use gift bags, buckets, think "outside the box".

You bring it yourself to the Meet and Greet (M&G) and we'll raffle it off.  OR you can mail it to the Navy Lodge and we’ll get it to the M&G for you!

So far I have a basket from Illinois coming....anyone else....would love to see some friendly competition between states or teams! :o)

UPDATE ON ITEMs/BASKET COUNT

Sunny California is in! Lol, how I get it there is another question, possibly mailing it to the hotel might work. Any ideas?

Fabulous!!! Thank You Aunt Bee!! Hoping it comes with sunshine and warm air!! LOL
Mailing is a great idea - I saw from other PIR groups who did this, several mailed it to their hotel, and I didn't hear of any problems. If I end up with no room, might just do the same! ;o)

Ladies, if any of you out-of-staters who are flying to CHI would prefer, I would be happy to 'hand deliver' as I am in IL and will be driving up.  I'll likely have my car to myself, so I will have room for a couple other baskets besides my own.  If anyone would feel comfortable doing that, send me a message and I'll give you my mailing address.

Thank you!! That is very sweet!!
To piggy back on that - if there are any who would like to donate items, but are not going to make it to M&G, you can mail it to me at the Navy Lodge, and I will deliver for you!

Thanks again!!!

Ok, so moose turds, & moonshine?? I'm thinking I'll have to bring pickled rattlesnake eggs, and maybe a few scorpions in a sucker!! ...Maybe just some Texas BBQ sauce, and some other good stuff! This is fun ;)

HAHAHA sweet! dead snake is the only good snake! :) eeewww! :)
Texas BBQ sounds amazing right now! :)

Thanks for the laughs ladies....this,IS fun! :)

There have been over 200 views of this page...I'm sure most are from me coming in and out and looking at our posts...(o:

I am hoping that there are others that are able to help out either donating items they made, or joining with someone to put stuff together, or making a "basket" of their own.

If you cant/don't want to that is fine too! Just come and hang out with us at the Meet & Greet! Hopefully with the items we have, we will entice you to want to try to win something! :o)

8 baskets so far!!! Would love to have 10! But I'll take what we can get!! :o)  2 weeks to go ladies!!!! HOOOYAH!!!

Hey Tina…I have my basket/bag all together and ready for travel. I am really excited that you are doing this.

AWESOME!!!! I can't wait to meet everyone and get this week long party started!!! By chance are you at Navy Lodge too?

Yes, I am staying at the Navy Lodge. :)

SWEET! It seems like a LOT of us are at the LODGE! For those that are not, I'm glad we have the M&G to still meet & hang out together!

I CANNOT WAIT!!!

Count another Texan in to participate! Finally got through all the posts to read about this great idea!
