Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Sorry to hear all this mess.
I too am in a yucky mood worrying about my SR and his GF who is now his fiancé (they dated 4 months b4 BC). Too much change too soon.

Ugh . . . it is literally making my sick to my stomach. I don't know what to do about this. I know there is nothing I can do, but daughter has to be told she isn't invited, and GF & Mom have to be told, *No, we didn't plan on you for Thanksgiving* and guess what, you aren't riding with us to PIR. I don't know where they are staying, but we are at the Navy Lodge. Can they even get into the Navy Lodge if they aren't family? If they are not registered there?

That's awful!!!! How old is your daughter?
I'm not sure if they can stay there since they're not family? I wonder if they could by staying 'under your name'?
Just asking, would it be easier if you guys ended up staying in the same motel? So that your SR will be within walking distance to see her?
My sons GF (fiancé) is coming and I have her staying with me. But I'm coming without my husband and have the room. I'm staying at the Navy Lodge too.

The mom went and made reservations at some hotel on her own. I still can't believe they are staying til *late friday night*
My husband refuses to deal with it. Says if it's left to him he will tell them sucks to be you, figure it out on your own . . .

Breathe deep friend. He will get the family thing, it just may take a minute. Your husband is kinda right - they are getting themselves there (quite rudely) - let them figure it out. Come hide with me @ Navy Lodge - we'll drink wine & plot how to get rid of them :)
