Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 803 and 804

Be very aware when posting about your SRs who are in this division. Make sure you read the OPSEC rules (everyone should).

sjtina, cor and a couple more ladies will be joining this discussion to answer your questions about the "800" division.

Although your SR is still in BC, what they are doing may be slightly different from what the other divisions in this training group are doing. It is also recommended that you go into your "settings" (clickable link on the right side) and change your privacy setting to "private" and change everything to friends only.

Please still use the main wall to post general questions, and concerns, such as meet and greet questions etc. Specific questions regarding the 800 division should be posted here.

We “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like to, and the ladies helping out with the 800 divisions don't always get to the main wall as often as they would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there ladies!!!

Welcome Mel. Sarges Meet and Greet info can be found on the main page of the PIR group. Its on the right side.

I always encourage these Meet and Greets since your boys are in spec ops. Knowing personally who you are sharing info with is the safest and easiest way to keep in touch with those who will be going on this roller coaster ride with you. The support you receive from the others will help keep you sane. Well most of the time lol

Hi Mel... Glad you are on.  My son is 804 as well and I cherished my call.  Under our PIR date there should be a link to the Meet and Greet.  Just add a message of how may are coming... See you there!

I'm getting really concerned!  The official letter that my son sent with the graduation information....gate password...never arrived although he did mail it to us. (We have received 4 other letters from him though.)  I emailed the RTC but they said they were unable to give out the password, that it had to come from the recruit.  Pray that he is able to respond to my letter in time to give us the password.  I guess I should've stayed on top of this earlier but didn't realize that the password was such a big deal.  I would really freak out if we arrived on 11/27 and the gate guards didn't let us on the base!

Crystal,  It is my understanding that you can still get ON the base by taxi, Sarge's shuttle, etc. if you are on "the LIST for entry into PIR"... you just can't DRIVE and PARK on the base (hence the password needed).  If I am wrong, Alumn's... please correct me.

We did have to use the pass to pick our son up each morning, but dropped him off at the curb at night because the line was long and slow moving he didnt want to take the risk of being late. We also used it the last day so we could spend some time with him in the parking lot saying goodbye, which by the way is difficult to do again.

Boom is correct that it is not needed for PIR if you are taking a shuttle, just when you return to pick him up later.

Gentle reminder ladies, you CANNOT share the password with anyone, the only person you can get it from is your SR.You can always ask your sailor when they call you after BS.

Sorry ellen. Its been so long that I forgot the letter said that.

Anyone know when 804's BS will be? Got letters today but he didn't mention when it was going to be.

idk either but if you find out i want to know too.

I'm hoping there's a letter in the mail today. It's been a long time since we've heard from him, but all his previous calls and letters were positive, so I am going with "no news is good news." Having just been through this a year ago with our other son, it's not QUITE as stressful. I understand the tearfulness many of you are facing, as I was right there with you a year ago...tears and panic were the mainstays of my days unfortunately. The good news is that, even though our other son spent several weeks in RCU, everything ended up just fine. I discovered the tears were for me, and if my panic kept him from feeling any, I will accept that, as well.

I thought someone mentioned they sr was a "STICK" .. my sr said he was a stick too.. just wondering who that was and if in the same division..
Dannysmom mentioned that about her SR.
