Time to have some fun, & raise some money to help Sarge & Mrs Sarge at the same time! :o)

Please help and spread the word through out your Division Groups!
We are short on days now (2 DAYS!!) OMG!!! (o:

All the proceeds go to Sarge and his wife. They provide and purchase the food and hold this amazing reception for all of us to feel welcome and get information about our SRs – just because we are families/lovedones of Sailors!
Let’s Pay it forward, Pay it forward!

Anyone that would like to put together a basket filled with items to represent your home state or items you have crafted, baked, or borrowed (& forgot to return to the neighbor that moved) ;o)   Maybe you crochet, or paint, or knit, or woodwork.

Holiday themes: Thanksgiving is here, Christmas is coming, Football teams(go Bears!!) lol.. We can have many different baskets with many different things in them: Sports items, Challenge Coins. Blue Candles. The possibilities are endless, anything goes!  Really it is whatever you want to bring. There is a dollar store and a Walmart right across the street for people to buy baskets if flying in. You can use gift bags, buckets, think "outside the box".

You bring it yourself to the Meet and Greet (M&G) and we'll raffle it off.  OR you can mail it to the Navy Lodge and we’ll get it to the M&G for you!

So far I have a basket from Illinois coming....anyone else....would love to see some friendly competition between states or teams! :o)

UPDATE ON ITEMs/BASKET COUNT

WE HAVE 25 ITEMS NOW!!

Represented so far are folks from: Illinios (2), NY, TN, Alaska, California(2), Iowa (2), Texas(2), Indiana, Rhode Island, Alabama(2), Florida, Louisiana, Georgia, Michigan, Ohio, Louisiana, Michigan, Oregon, & Pennsylvania!!!!! & 2 I'm not sure of...and don't care!! ITs AWESOME!! (o:

UPDATE ON RAFFLE TICKET SALES:::: Each raffle ticket will be $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00, or if you are really enthusiastic, $20 for 25 tickets!!

Please if you DO NOT want to participate, that is OKAY too!!  This was just something I saw other PIR groups do and thought it would be FUN!!! There is NO REQUIRMENT to do this!! There is no pressure!! If all you want is to participate by buying tickets thats AWESOME!!

We will bring a hand blown glass bowl that my husband made for the auction. Thanks for starting this, it is a wonderful idea!

Oh wow! that is amazing! Thank you both!!

I am so happy we are getting all of this response!  I had only hoped it would go this well!!

I am trying to get a Florida themed basket together. I am one of the least creative persons ever but my most creative friend is helping me. We are flying in and will miss the first half of M&G but one of my new friends from this site has agreed to get it there for me :)

WONDERFUL FLsailormom!

I completely understand the creative thing....I try...but not always successful! :o)

I am hoping you make it to the M&G, I"m glad your friend is helping you out!

This is great!!!! Thank you!!

PIR 11-27 keep up the. Good work on your BASKETS. I know Sarge will be so pleased with what you all are doing for him. I get so excited reading all your post. My Sailor PIR on 11-1. We had an awesome meet and greet and I know you all will too. Glad to see all your participation. Incase you all don't know me. I was officially named the Crazy Basket lady. A title I am proud to wear. Lol soon you all will be getting your I'm a Sailor calls. Congrats to all of you.
I love the basket idea. I'll start one for Louisiana! I'm not sure if there's anymore Louisiana moms out there, but if there are let me know if you'd like to bring something to add. I'm sure I can find some hot sauce around here somewhere!! Yep, we'll have a Hot and Spicy Basket!!

1 Proud mom - THAT'S GREAT!!! we didn't have one for Louisiana yet! that's awesome.....Uh oh ladies - (o:

The SOUTH IS RISING AGAIN! :o)

HAHAHAHAHAHA  I am loving this!! Cannot wait for M&G to see you all!!

Are there any from Michigan yet?  I'd like to do one but I'm not sure what to put in it.

DTbowl, everyone seems to be doing different kinds of things - some are doing state-themed. Mine isn't necessarily state-themed but it will have some IL-related things.  And my sister is sending one along with me, hers is just kind of a bath-related bucket.  It is entirely up to you! :-)

Exactly like barefoot said - definitely does not have to be "state" themed. Anything goes here!! no boundaries, no requirements...ha, kinda in complete opposite direction of what our SRs are are learning! How ironic! HAHAHA

I'm not really doing a "GA theme" basket. I'm sure I'll have a couple of items but I'm doing a wine and dine basket! Candles, picture frames, wine, etc. :) I think it will turn out really cute! And, maybe someone will want it. haha.

You get one of my tickets!!! :o)
