Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 017 and 018

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

I sent you a friend request. I can't send you a message until you accept it. I 'm not sure how else to inbox you another way.

Hi All,

Yesterday I learned that my brother-n-law will be coming with my sister, but I already have 4 guests attending the PIR so not sure what to do with him!  Is anyone else in the same situation?  Is there a place that a group is getting together to watch it online?

There will be 8 of us. Our SR's family that isn't attending the graduation will wait at the hotel. So when they get liberty we will take our SR to them. Of course then it won't be an SR but our SAILOR. :) We just received 3 letters. He didn't say when BS was. So like the others sosfirst, can you send it to my email or however you can do it? I know there are a lot of kids to call home so no idea what time a call could come.

Where are you staying?

We are at the Quality In.

I have a question, and I am hoping someone has the answer!  I just pulled out our nice form letter stating when the graduation was so I could remember the gate pass code.  As I was looking through the letter...I came across the 4 names on the list and how they should be listed (pretty sure my son was sleeping when he wrote it!)  He was supposed to write in the names (first and last) but rather he wrote:

Mom

Grandma

Granpa

No names and the list has changed, my dad was unable to make it so his other grandma and his aunt are now able to go.  I have told him to put the 4 names on the list but not sure if he is allowed to change that list and now I am in a little bit of a panic since the tickets are bought and we are planning on being at the graduation.

Our SR also put our nick names on the paper he sent us. I was assured by someone that has an SR graduating the same date our kids are that the kids do that on our papers but they put the proper names on the paper. I copied and sent it on to him. I guess all is well.

I am wondering if you go to the recruiter if they can help?

Hi Kat,

My SR wrote names in a similar manner as yours on the orginal form I received. Your SR is the only one who can put the names on the list and will turn in a final list (with everything correctly written on it lol) soon. Try to remember to confirm who is on the list when your SR gives you his ever precious "I'm a Sailor" call, as they are the only ones who will be permitted to attend PIR. :)

I look forward to seeing all of your posts of recieving your Sailor calls!!!!!!!!!! I look forward to meeting you all at the M&G and can't wait for us all to see our SR's!!!!!

(((((((((((NMH)))))))))))))

Good to know. I will breathe easier.  We didn't have to have names on a guest list for our grandson's graduation from the Marines at Paris Island this past January. We have a friend in our town that has an SR graduating as well.  We can't wait to get the mail on Wednesdays and Thursday. We can't wait, as all of you can't wait, to see our grandson and hug his eye balls right out of his head. Are you going to Sarge's for the meet and greet?

Ok Mom's we only have 7 more days. This has been a long 2 months and I would like to Thank all of you.You have all been such a Blessing to me. Just knowing that you were out there and understood what I was going thru has helped me get thru this.. We have a bond that will be there forever. We joined the long list of special people, Navy Mom's. I will be praying for all of your SR's this weekend. All I can say to our SR;s is " You got this, Kick Butt"

I am late to this game with all of you but I appreciate all that you have gone through knowing your SRs are out there, away from home maybe for the first time and are supporting them all. Thank you for your SR's service to our country. It takes a special person to give their all to our country. Thank you also Sosfirst for the email. Now that there is a specific date for BS prayers can be focused on them in a specific way.

We have told our SR that he Rocks and that he's got this. I've been sending supportive cards. He said in his last letter how much they mean to him. He also said 12 more days. He said he can't wait for us to see him in his uniform. He has got to be proud of what he has accomplished as they all must be.

Good luck to all of our SRs this weekend. Wrapping them all in prayers and God's angels to take care of them.
