Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 013 and 014

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Did they run all four divisions together for BS last night?  I thought it was only 2 groups at once.  Just curious if they made them go through at the same time, in 2 groups (2 div each) or if they were one great big group.

Hey Barb...my son said that they were in groups.  He said that they did awesome!  diannep gave a heads up that DIV 011, 012, 013 & 014 were gonna be the first to go through BS 21.  DIV 011 & 012 went in first and got the first calls out.  I received my call around noonish Hawaii time!  He sounded good but did say that all he wanted to do was SLEEP!

So I said...wait, you can go sleep after you talk to me! lol...............;-o  Have a great evening everyone!

See you all in a week!

HOOYAH!

Thanks!  I hate having to ask all of you, but I just don't get the privilege of talking to him, until next Friday!  Good news is that he told my mom that he sent a letter last weekend, so we have that to look forward to.  I assume that it will come Friday to MN.  Good news for me, I guess.  He doesn't usually say much, but it's all I have for now!

Yes...priorities...mom comes before sleep!  I keep hoping that he'll pop up on fb.  Hopefully he's just enjoying and relaxing.  Maybe in the coming days!

So glad they are done...I have a lot to do, and I work better without that 'wondering' going on in my heart!

Can't wait to meet you, too.  I'll reply to your pm later...gotta get into Nara to get something for my basket!!  Sure wish it wasn't raining :(

My son said it was five that didn't make it in Div. 014.  He said they didn't pass their PFA and/or their swimming test.  It wasn't that they didn't make it through BS, they didn't even get to participate.  Hopefully they'll have another chance.  He didn't tell me who they were & I didn't ask.  Prayers go out to them.  I'm pretty sure they get a couple chances though.  Anyone know the answer to this?  Barb ???  lol

Sorry to take so long, Shesh!  I've been out all day shopping for my basket...from Nara to Osaka and back!! :)  Yes, they can keep trying to pass their tests, and they will be put with another division to do BS.  If they end up doing BS on the last night (Thursday night), I've heard that they don't march for PIR but sit up in the balcony.  I know it must be stressful for those kids who are close but not quite making the cut.  I was afraid that would be my son, but he passed on his 2nd attempt, so that helped me quite a bit.  I've heard they go to "FIT" which focuses on getting them past the physical part of the test.  Some will be moved to FIT earlier during training, others later (depending on if the RDC thinks they will need the extra help or not).  Hope this helps.  Shesh...how did you know I would know this?!  :)

Just a lucky guess, Barb lol.   All those in FIT will be in my prayers to earn the right to walk in PIR.  How hard would that be to have to sit in the balcony.  At least they can be proud they are Sailors also.

I hope all our boys (girls?) got a good night sleep.  I wish my son could call me again because he was kinda out of it yesterday.   He said during their little ceremony a few of them (my son included) kept falling asleep standing up.  Then they'd get hollered at.  They will all feel much better today.  What a relief for them to have all the testing behind them.

So proud of them all !

Great, I will be at Sarges meet and greet with my family. Anxiously waiting on my SR (ship 3, div 016) phone call today.
I'm looking to connect with the mom of a sailor in division 013 that has the last name beginning with S and ending with K. My son is staying in GL for training then going to San Diego and they will be on the same ship.

The photo's up on Facebook Div 014 !!!  Such a great looking group of Sailors !  :)   :)

What is the Facebook site been trying to find it

Hello everyone, was wondering did anyone else see div 014 on facehook. I cant seem to find it
