Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 043 and 044

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

How many in here for Div 44?

I was told that there are 68 SR in div 044.

My SR is in Div 044. I also got a call on Saturday Morning. What a treat. I just walked in the house from walking the dog and heard the voice mail. fortunately I was able to answer the phone in time. We live north of Philadelphia.

My SR is Div 043.  We live north of Dallas.  To date I have received 2 letters and 1 phone call that i was so sorry to miss.

My SR is Div 043. We are from Granbury,TX. We have received 4 phone calls to date and 2 letters. I hope to meet you jamie! Wonder if our sons know each other. :) I have sent him some questions to answer, but havent received them yet. My son is Connor. We lived in Dallas all our lives until 8 yrs. ago when we moved to Granbury!

Received a call from my SR. It was only 7 minutes because he called his girlfriend but was really excited to get a call. He sounds better than he did last Saturday. He said they have their first test on Monday. He needs to run faster. Besides that doing pretty good. Very happy to hear from him. Hope everyone else got a call and their Sr is doing well.

My SR is in Div 043 and we live in Ann Arbor, MI about 6 hours away. Momof4, we are staying at the Marriott as well. Our last call was the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and he sounded so good. Now, we have to decide if to make the trip at Christmas so he won't spend it alone. :(  I'm also curious to know if anyone has a SR in Div 043 who is getting married in July 2014?

Can't wait to meet you! Also received call Wed. and he sounded so good!!! I think our boys Div 043 is doing good overall, which makes me a very happy Mom! Our son, Connor, has his birthday this month, and Christmas, but we live too far to come before PIR. I'm so excited for that weekend! Our SR will have A school at Great Lakes as well, so we have the whole weekend with him! Again, so nice to meet you here!

So glad to meet you here too! Anxiously waiting to hear from our SR! Hope all is well with him. We got a letter after Thanksgiving but have not heard from since. We probably will not see him till PIR as well. It will be a fantastic weekend though!

Got letter from my SR. So good to hear from him. He had pink eye and a sinus infection, spent 48 hours SIQ. Said the division wants to win Captains Cup and for the most part working good together. Guess they are down to 88 in the division. Hope everyone got letters. In four weeks will be at Sarge's meet and greet and then PIR. Can not wait.
My SR is in Div 043 and he called me last Tuesday but I missed his call:/. I was planning on doing the Adopt a Sailor program for him and a shipmate. When he called he left a 10 sec message telling me to refax the paper writing ,"No sailor is coming". I don't know what this is about and I haven't heard anything back from anyone. Did anyone else have this issue? I pray I will still be able to see my fiancé!

Hello Moms - my son was/is new to division 043.  He was ASMO'd from his earlier class/division for medical reasons -- he caught some pretty bad bugs (flue/strep/bacterial infection in his neck) and was hospitalized for 6 days.... he came back from all that and will be graduating this week with division 043.  He's thrilled and so am I to be able to see him this weekend.  I know he was able to make some friends in this new division - though he had a shorter time with them.  I thank all of your sons for making him feel welcome in his new division.
