Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 041 and 042
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

So ship 11 DIV 041 moms I just recieved a letter today from Evan. It sounds as if pink eye has been making it's way thru the division. My son and 13 others came down with it on the 14th. The next day another 5 guys got it and they were expecting even more. They have been segregated from the division, but it sounds like the division down the hall might have some pink eye issues as well. The RDC is threatening to quarantine the ship and push them back a week, please let this virus clear up soon and let these boys stay on task to graduate on time. Evan said that once he got some eye drops his cleared up right away I think they got him in the early stages. Other than than he sounded really good and said that his next call probably wouldn't be until after battle stations.

Wow, I talked to my son on the 14th and he didn't say anything! Hope he stays healthy and I am praying for both divisons that it passes quickly!! Praying for NO quarantine!! Glad you son's cleared up up, hoping that for the rest!!

Hi All. This is a push division. I have been very anxious as I have not heard from my sr for a week. Finally got a letter today. He was so excited because he finally so snow. It's the first time for he is a Florida baby. We will be arriving about 11 am on Thursday before PIR. Staying at navy lodge.

It's snowing today in Colorado - my kiddo is used to it, although he doesn't care much for it, unless it snows a lot. He likes to ski, but he's hoping to be deployed someplace nice! The snow can be a nuisance more than anything! I hear the SRs get the "pleasure" of shoveling! Lucky them! ;-)

Wow, my SR was born and raised in California and finished high school and 2 years of college in Alabama, so he isn't used to snow at all!! He definitely learning a lot in the Navy! LOL We will be moving to Colorado in January somewhere outside Denver, not sure where yet, So I better get prepared!!

Yes - definitely be prepared! We are about 25 min SE of Denver. Depending on the system we can get dumped on. This system wasn't too bad. Downtown Denver didn't get much, we got about 4 inch at my place. I've lived here almost 14 years now. I LOVE it here! I was born in Cali also, but grew up in Nebraska when my folks got divorced. It can snow as early as September and as late as June!

I was born and raised in So Cal (Riverside, San Diego is where I graduated high school)! So snow will be a new thing for me. I am looking forward to be close to slopes again!! Living here Alabama has left a real longing to go skiing again!!

I'm the first to admit - I have never been skiing. I do like to go sledding with my kids and rarely pass up an opportunity. I'm closer to the ground on a sled than skis. LOL! I have lupus and if I take much of a fall - well, lets just say - it hurts!
