OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hello!  My daughter is in division 905 and will graduate on 11/13/13.  I will not be able to see her on Thanksgiving.  She will be performing for your PIR.  Due to a lack of her unit's ability to work together they have not been able to call for awhile so most of us parents are missing our children badly and wives are missing husbands!

We would really, truly appreciate any pictures you could take of the group that is singing at your PIR!  I know the other parents would love to have pictures of the band performing, too!  If you are interested, I would love to send pictures of Janie to you, you can request me as a friend.  Otherwise, you can just take random pictures and we would all really appreciate it.  We have a FB page where pictures can be posted!  You can find that page by searching: NAVY PIR 12/13/13 Ship 2.  I cannot list the full page here, but we are Divisions 905 and 906.

I will be watching it online, but just don't know what I will be able to see! :-)

I will be glad to pay this favor forward, just let me know what I can possibly do to help!  THANK YOU so much!!

I'm in :)  Will do my best !

THANK YOU!!!  We surely do appreciate it!

Yes, I will try, also. My son is a flag carrier in his PIR so we will be taking pics all over the place. Or at least trying to. I will make a special point of finding the singers. I know how hard it is not to hear from our SR's. Who are you on FB?

THANK YOU!!!  Shelia Buss

Janie's Mom, I joined your PIR group on FB this morning to let your group know I will do what I can to get pics of your SRs!

I will also try and get pics of your division!!

Sent you a friend request with my name if you want to find me on FB. I'm not a great photographer but will glad to try. Maybe between all of us you can get some decent pics. Good luck to your daughter!
