Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 039 and 040
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

SR boys... challenging to have them write home!
This is my SR's 4th week and I received one handwritten letter, 2 phone calls, 1 form letter and a box of dirty clothes. The last call from him was Tuesday 11/12 & he did say he wrote more letters.
SR said; it wasn't necessary to write 5 letters a day to him...
Me; must be how they are being delivered to you as I write/mail once a day.
SR; I'm getting in trouble; Me; in trouble? SR; well they are saying things to me. Me; Oh, so they are giving you a hard time?
SR; yes. SR; only write letters, I don't need to know what is going on in the world. Me; ok.
Needless to say; I haven't written since (lol).
I'm thinking that "maybe" it wasn't the amount of mail he was receiving, but the envelopes being puffy is bringing on the attention to him. I use standard size white envelopes with black ink. No stickers, no glitter... just plain! I did send him a post card of Prescott, AZ where I live... just in case he forgot. ha ha ha
Since joining the Navy For Moms groups, accepting this new journey for my son has been much easier. There is a terrific amount of support with moms here who have either gone through this transition, are currently going through and just about to go through... Thank you to everyone!!
4 weeks till PIR!!
Hi Everyone ! My daughter is in 040 Glad to be a part of this group!
Hi Everyone Hope all of you are doing good..today has not been a good day I am missing my SR a bunch today ! When I left for work I saw a big Red Fox in the neighbors drive. It was beautiful Made me think of my girl and how much she would have loved to see that. made me sad that I couldn't share that with her. I wrote her and told her all about it and can just imagine the smile when she reads that. It made me miss her more but I actually think it was a sign from her that all is going well. Hope everyone sees Their "fox" soon !!!
Hey all! Its pretty here in Arkansas today, got a letter she sounded upbeat, she also wrote her grandparents. she did ask for a big manila envelope and extra stamps to send letters home. Starting to get excited now, they are 22 days from PIR :) Hope all is good with everyone. Judy P - boys will never understand. Hay'smom- its the pretty things that remind us of them. Hey SR did say they were all getting together to have "Recruit Idol" to find talent for the Captains Cup. So they are coming together as a unit :))))

This is a link to the face book page from the town of Wauconda that adopted out our sailor and 35 of his shipmates of div.#040 on thanksgiving day. Was so good to see him enjoying his day and having a good time. Hope this helps some of you get a glimpse of your sailor and how they spent their day.
