OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Service dogs are amazing! I am glad he has the opportunity to have one to help him along in whatever disability he has. My advice was not as practical....I wish I had thought about what you told yours. I will probably have to steal it when I have the chance to give him advice again. I told him to keep his nose clean. There will be temptation to do things (drink, smoke, drugs, woman) that he has not faced before. I told him to be willing to be the only one that doesn't join in, even if it targets him for ridicule.

I told my son the same type of thing Carla. I might not have used the same terms as we are not a Christian household, but I told him to stay true to who he is. I hope to get to meet ya'll at PIR! We will be the bikers possibly with the service dog (depends on how their training has progressed)! My husband fell 27 ft in Iraq. He broke his back in 6 places and cracked his skull. Gunner helps with anxiety from being in public, seizures, balance, and a few other things like helping pick up things when he drops it. So training is gonna take a while. We went through Train A Dog Save A Warrior. They use rescue dogs and the vet and dog train together. He meets twice a week with the trainer and they have homework that consists of reviewing commands every 2 hrs for 15 minutes at a time. I'm excited for him...and I tend to ramble. Lol

Fireworks, we really appreciate your husband's service to our country! I am so sorry to hear what he (and you and your family) went through, but it is so good to hear that he was able to be paired with a dog through Train A Dog Save A Warrior!

Fireworks, I told my son not to let some woman trick him into marriage for citzenship, to be himself, and not to succumb to drugs, alcohol, sex (and if he does to use protection) or the negative ways of others. I believe his foundation taught here at home is embedded enough that he will be A.O.K. I still pray every day for his and other SR's to be safe, and free from trouble harm and danger, and to make choices which are pleasing to God. I told him to think about each decision and if he believes I would disapprove he probably shouldn't do it! Is that pressure or what. hahaha

:D I didn't say too much to my son about any of those things because, being 20, he doesn't want to hear it! But, before he left, he told me that he wasn't interested in sticking around our county where all guys seem to do here is get girls pregnant....and do drugs.... I figure if he feels that strongly about it, then that is a good sign! :D Definitely still prayin for him and all of them though!

Hello! My son is on Ship 03 Div 052. Just got my first letter yesterday...so relieved! We received one call and missed too; felt so bad :( He sounds like he is hanging in there but yes it is getting tougher. Prayers for all!! Anyone going to Chicago for Christmas day?

We are trying to see if we can work it out to go for Xmas. We have 4 other kids so traveling is always a beast! I say we need to go. My husband says that it might not be in our son's best interest to go. His reasoning is that when he was in basic the kids whose parents went had a more difficult time afterwards because they had to go through the homesickness all over again. He equated it to going off caffeine for a month and then getting re-addicted by having caffeine for a weekend. I understand his point, but I miss my kid so freakin much! I would feel better just seeing him for a little while.

Hey everyone, my Fiance is on Ship 03 Div 051 and I got a surprised call from him tonight. They did some important academic tests today and he scored a perfect so he was allowed a 10 minute phone call. He said that there is a chance that everyone could be calling home tomorrow. He said that he couldn't say anything of course guarantee anything but he felt like they have been doing good enough it's possible. So stay strong!

Yeah for you....and good for the division. I would love a call but we are going to be running around a lot and I think he will call the house and not the cell. Our other kids will be at the house, so maybe it will be a good bonding for them
