For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 053 and 054
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

I just got a call from my daughter. So nice to hear there voice when you cant see them. Shes doing good and she said its really cold like 8 degrees burr. Wish I could see her for christmas but I cant afford to go there. This will be the first year without her. But I am excited to go see her graduate. :)

I just got a call also. (I missed the call, but thank God he called his brother's phone so we were able to talk). He still has his sense of humor, thank God. And sounded more content than the other times I've spoke to him.

Hello, I have a 19 year old son in BC and he is graduating Jan 10th. Im so excited, He is on Ship 14 Division 053 Is anybodys loved one on same Ship and division?

We have a son in Ship 14, div 54. The last time I spoke to our SR last weekend, he said Christmas on base would be fine, they are all in it together, and I think by now they have made some good friends. My son didn't seem too worried about it, we are from CA, going twice in 2 weeks is just too costly, he said Thanksgiving was fun so they're expecting the same for Christmas. He turned 18 five days before shipping out, so this will be a first, but in the bigger picture, our SRs are no longer 'ours' they belong to the US Navy and that makes me incredibly proud. He has a new life, an exciting, adventurous, scary (sometimes), but above all fulfilling life ahead, tough times, but the Navy is making them stronger every day. Bootcamp days are counting down - we're nearly into the 20's!

That is so true and I'm glad to hear there are others this young. My daughter is in the same ship & div as your son & is also just 18yrs old. I also can't go for Christmas so I'm glad to hear they will be OK.

Hi Im a nervous wreck, My son Jesse is on Ship 14 Division 053, I have only got 1 phone call that lasted 1 min and a small note about 4 sentences. Havent heard from him since but his girlfriend has gotten a letter saying he has been sick and has had shin splints that might be stress fractures, it sucks when you cant get a hold of him for an update, no curious to see if he is able to graduate......

I heard no news is good news my husband is in that ship same division if u inbox me ur sr last name I would ask for you I know how stressful the not being able to ask is I do know they're last call was last Friday for most (:
