Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 051 and 052
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!

I got a letter today, too! I am thrilled at the moment! Our son's letter is dated Dec. 8th. He passed the first test. The chief was pleased with all of the division and said that the division average was 4.47 out of 5. It is high enough to raise the division score "for hall of fame as long as they keep it up". He said the chief was so pleased that he was playing music during holiday routine as long as they realized that it's for him and not them. Lol! My son said Wednesday (yesterday), they were supposed to go to the shooting range, and that they have already been practicing with the weapons (proper handling and safety). He said they got 2nd issue uniforms like black pants, cacky shirt, dress blues and whites, P-coats, dress shoes, and things. He said that he can't believe they've been there a month now, but the way the division has bonded; you'd think it was more like a year. Such a good letter from him besides hearing that he is still sick! :D

Yeah for letter day! Your sounds way more chatty than mine...which I love. I love details and my son doesn't give many. Although he did say he met some great guys the first couple of days he was there and they have all stuck together. Hope your son and mine become friends.

Ginger Matt's Mom, I hope our sons become friends, too! I must admit that I am quite surprised by my son's chattiness! I never expected him to write as much, but I am glad he is. I like details, too. ;)

I got a letter today too. And he actually did the questionnaire is sent. He really liked the music that was played 'for the chief'. He did say that guys are dropping like flies. He passed the test and got a perfect on the inspection.....guess it was helpful to have an OCD mother...haha. And he says he has a friend!!! His friend's last name also starts with an M. If your SR has the last name M, message me. Would love to know the family of the SR that my son has gotten close to!

Well N4M's I am sad to say this but I will no longer be on here. I got a call today and my son is being medically discharged. He is broken, he says he is fine but I know his voice. He is in holding now, no more IT, no more boot camp. He is happy to be seeing us for the holidays but sad because he thinks he has disappointed us. I want to say thank you to all of you for helping me on my good and bad days. My heart is broken for him, this was his dream. Apparently he has to be in tip top shape to be in the navy and his back is not!. I feel like crying, but I am in shock. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, I wish you all safe travels, and happy tears. Bless you all.

I am so sorry...so sad. I can't imagine how upsetting it must be. My son went through trials similar to this before he left for BC....he was actually delayed from July until November and had received a letter of medical ineligibility. He was hurt and upset and tired of fighting to do the job he wanted. He wanted to give up. Your son will probably go through many of these same emotions. Please tell him how proud we all are of he work he did and his willingness to serve.

ProudMomma94, I mentioned on the main page our sense of loss over your son being discharged, but wanted to add just how proud we are of him as well! I know this has got to be devastating for him, but hopefully soon; he will realize that he can hold his head up high! He has does his absolute best, and we all recognize it! You all are in our hearts and prayers!

BougieRae, hello! Our son is in Division 051. From what I understand, our son's division and your son's division do things together sometimes since they are "brother divisions". Our son arrived at Great Lakes November 12th. It is so hard to believe more than a month has passed! :D
