For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Hello to all the "Brother"'s parents in the division! So excited for the kids! Very much looking forward to PIR. My son Riley is in the group. He's my only child. I vary between being extremely proud to being sad/anxious about his path. But I know that he is following his heart and it is the best option for him. I'm happy to meet you and look forward to seeing you all in 6'ish weeks!

He called his grandfather! Said he tried to call me but couldn't reach me which doesn't make sense - I have no messages or missed calls....the bummer is that my mother wasn't home when the call came in and father has memory issues. All my father remembers is that he sounded good and things were going well. No details at all but I guess that's good enough. Just wish I had heard his voice. (He's div 70.)

Today received a called from my son and seem very excited. He was held in ship 5 for 2 weeks, but seem excited to finally start training. I think the frustrating part is that they wait until they arrive to start the background check. I don't understand why they don't start before they leave to boot camp. So know he has to work harder to catch up with everyone so he can graduate on 1/24...has anyone had the similar issue?

Just rec'd "THE CALL" He left 12/2. Very emotional for both of us but had a great conversation. Said it's been a little rough but that was to be expected. He was glad to hear that he had mail on the way to him. I know that he is starting to gain some confidence about the decision to join the Navy. Looking forward to his letters and to his PIR 1/24/14. Much appreciate this site to guide us thru this....

Looks like our son's are same ship and division. We received a call Sunday and again yesterday..I guess their Christmas call. I know they are counting the days and are nervous about "Hell Week". Hope you have Happy Holiday's! Maybe they will surprise us and call again on Christmas??

Hello all...Let me first say thank you to your children for their service!! We could not be prouder of our son Colton in division 070 and I know you all feel the same about your children. I don't know if any of your children got sick the first week, but my son was hospitalized with the H1N1 virus. He was so sick and so worried he would be recycled and fortunately that didn't happen. It has done our heart good to see the progression of his letters go from depressed and homesick, to making friends and settling in a little more. It helped to hear his voice sound so much stronger on Saturday. I wish your sons/daughters all the best!! Looking forward to January 24th.

Boricua: He will be able to catch up in training. This group should have been in about the 1st week of training when your son moved back with his division. So he didn't miss much. No worries! Remember, during the time he was in Ship 5, most were still in processing days which don't count as part of the training. There are only 6 actual weeks of training, concluding for some divisions a week before PIR and for the others by Wed morning of PIR week.
