Sarge has a meet and greet for the families the night before PIR. He does this for every PIR and it's at his own expense. We are hoping to make baskets up and bring them that night to raffle off. This way it will help offset the money he has to put out. We were thinking of state themed baskets, ie: NJ, California etc. but what ever basket you would like to put together would be wonderful.(kitchen, bath items, coffee etc.) When you know what kind of basket you will do we can post it here and then this way keep track of what we have. I'm new to this so I hope I'm posting this the right way.

Hi, I will bring a travel themed basket.

That's great, Thank You :)

I will be doing a basket most likely a St Louis Mo will let you know for sure in a week.(I might change my mind and do something else lol) Thank you Alice for starting this. 23 days!!!!!!!!!

I will do a theme basket. Not sure theme yet but I am in Pennsylvania so maybe something along with that.

Hi Ladies, I would love to contribute a basket. Mine will be "relaxing in Maryland". I saw a post earlier where someone said they could bring the baskets and I could fill it at the get together. If you are that generous Mom please message me. We are flying in and I'm not sure about the "basket"part.

Hello all.  Yes, if there is a Mom driving who can just bring empty baskets, that would be really help for those of us flying.  That way we could just put the contents into our luggage and assemble at the Meet and Greet.

I will do a So. Cal themed basket, which may include beach type items as well as some food stuffs.

Thanks Alice!

I will do a Texas themed basket. There was a mom who had offered to allow us to ship them to her as she was going to be driving to PIR. That might be an option. If not I think I can prob travel with my stuff then put it together before the meet and greet.

Just a thought...the basket doesn't necessarily have to be a "basket."  It could be a tote (available at the dollar store) which could be folded into luggage for those flying.  The items could then be arranged either in or on the tote for display.

I will bring a Virgina themed basket.  I am driving to PIR so if anyone wants to ship the "basket" to me for delivery I would be happy to!   Just let me know.

I can bring empty baskets for whoever needs one just pm me. Also it prob would be a good idea to put a $ amount of it maybe $25.00 what do you guys think?

Alice this is an awesome idea! Any thoughts on how much the raffle tickets will be? Or will they be auctioned? I thought I saw in the feed, while it was still in the discussion phase, that we could buy tickets & only enter them into the drawing of the baskets we actually wanted? Is that still the plan?

Sandra G- I think it's going to be like those gift auctions where you get a sheet of tickets and you go around and put your  ticket in for what ever basket you want. I just don't know how much it should be and how many tickets on a sheet. I'm going to text Sarge today since I haven't received an email yet from him to see if he remembers what they have done in the past, but if anyone has any suggestions for this that would be great.

KJ's mom- that's a great idea about the tote!
