Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 067 and 068
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

no letter from my SR yet :(
was really hoping to receive one today but nope, I am so very sad and upset that I hadn't gotten a letter from him. when we talked Sunday he said he hadn't received my letter I sent the week before so I don't know what is going on, but I am so very upset and just want to cry
Hi shortcake, our kids are in the same unit. We are staying at America's Great Value, but will be going to the meet and greet. My son is going to Pensacola after boot camp for 6 months. Finger's crossed that your letter comes tomorrow.. I am waiting on mine, too!
We're staying at Navy Lodge. Will be at the meet and greet as well. My daughter gets to stay in GL for the winter! She says it is frigid there!
You are not alone, Joni. I haven't gotten a letter yet either. I ran out to the mailbox as soon a I heard the truck coming every day this week, and came back in disappointed each time :(. I just keep saying "maybe tomorrow". They are coming, we just have to be so very patient!
I don't like to be so down, but with Christmas coming an not receiving a letter I am in tears and feel so lost without my son, I just pray he is still doing well and that things are going great for him and fellow SR's. may have to just wait for a phone call from my SR as he is probably writing others and I know they are extremely busy with BC, but I guess I am just down today. this is hard!!! I don't know how my dad managed it when I went into the Army when I was 21 but he did, mom had passed about 8 months before I went in. I just cant wait to hear from my SR and then at PIR give him a huge hug and I probably wont want to let go of him, he is our only son and I miss him so very much, he was always there for me and we always talked everyday even when he was in college, even a little text message that said love you mom was awesome.
I wonder what it is about today? I have had a grapefruit sized lump in my throat all day today and can cry if you look at me. I can't even begin to imagine what Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are going to be like, My Lord!
just got a call from my son!!!! big Congrats to the division for being the first to get Bravo Zulu on their test!!! my son got perfect score and the division in whole got over a 4.5 so they were the first to get that!!! they all get one hour to make calls today so keep your phones close by and my son gets 2 hours as he is the EPO and got a 5 on the test! he sounds so happy and talked about inspections, they got fitted for their dress uniforms this week, and are going great!! he got off the phone after 36 minutes to allow others to make calls since he has extra time so he said given the time he is going to call back and hope that his dad will be home by the time he gets to call again, I am so proud of the divisions and getting the great scores on the test!! he finally got my letter on Tuesday an a letter from his grandma then at 11:30 one night got another letter from a friend, he has plenty of time on phone cards so the ones I sent to him he is going to give out to any in the division that needs them. I am so proud of him and the divisions as a whole!
