Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 051 and 052
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

Make sure to be checking their FB accounts too on Christmas Day when they may be adopted out. They may be able to call and FB as well. So keep all methods of communication open that day! Some get to call you several times during the day with borrowed cells!
A little late to ask but what time is PIR? 0800?
Maggie, this might help. I found it on the Navy RTC site. I have never attended a Naval graduation before, so I hardly consider myself an expert. Lol.
6:30 am: RTC gate opens to guests.
7:00 am: Ceremonial drill hall doors open to guests.
8:45 am: All guests must be seated. Ceremonial drill hall doors close, no further entry for guests.
9:00 am: Pass-In-Review commences.
9:20 am: Divisions arrive.
10:30 am: Pass-In-Review concludes.
*Please plan on arriving at least 1.5 hours before the ceremony, which begins promptly at 9:00 a.m.
Most people say that it helps to get there as early as possible so you can have a good seat...it packs out quickly.
Merry Christmas Everyone, may you have a wonderful day and hear from your SR.
If you are Facebook active, go and "like" the page "Sailors for Christmas" It will have pictures of our divisions 051/052 posted! This is the group that has adopted out these divisions!! My daughter received a call from her husband this morning from the bus - they were on their way!! Evidently people just give them cell phones to use! They talked for almost an hour! Praying for all of you to receive a phone call!!
We are at Great Lakes! My son and his friend are just relaxing in the hotel room. They've skyped and facebooked and called friends and family. I wish this day wouldn't end! Sorry I've been missing for a while. My sister moved and my step-daughter came into town...so needless to say we've been busy!
So glad to hear from our son today! He was able to facebook in the beginning with us, and then called around 1 pm~perfect time because all our family was there to talk to him for Christmas! I can tell he can't wait til PIR. I'm sure all the guys and gals feel like that right now! We saw the facebook page and had to really llloooooookkk for any photos of him~Lol! He likes pictures as much as I do! Some things never change! ;) So glad you all got to talk to your SR's also!
Fireworks, I bet that was so awesome! Talking to my son made me wish I had went also!
"Sailors for Christmas" is another unit pictures does anyone know where our units photos are located?
Sent you a private message :)
I get to talk to him almost every day he is hoping for Monday now. He will be released as an early release not discharged and if he wants to get a waiver reenlist in 6 months. They had a career man come in and talk to the guys to encourage them to follow their dream even if it does not include the military. So now he is talking about going to school to be a chemist, he has always excelled in chemistry and he loves it so who knows maybe a new path is set? Whatever it is he has my support and I know he will do well.
