Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 067 and 068

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Springhill suites Marriot anyone else staying there??

We are also from Florida , have no clue about SNOW, lol. We are planning on staying at courtyard Marriot . We are going to decide last minute about rental or if we need to contact Sarge . The thing that gets me is we want to meet up with sailor at the Airport on Saturday , so there is another round trip back and forth ot airport . Got another letter yesterday . happy holiday to you all.

Hi Jax Mom... Where is your SR traveling to?? Mine is going to Missisippi after BC so we will be going to the airport to see her off as well hopefully. How many people are in your group?? We are renting a car and since she won't be with us as far as I know on the trip to the airport if the car is large enough we might be able to link up. I won't know until it gets closer but I can tell you Ace Rentals has the best price possible on any vehicle but you must tell them the military discount code to get it. Also, if you use a debit card they do not charge a deposit. To the Navy families coming for graduation and all the other ones do. We are staying at Sprinhill Suites Marriot probably near yours. We are from Florida as well in Tallahassee. Get some snow boots not regular ones, you will need the rubber soles to keep you from sliding and to stay warm. Dicks sporting goods has the best price I found and you can get them on line if you don't have a store near you. They were 45.00 and are very warm and well insulated. You can get frost bite if you don't have the right shoes. Layer your clothes make sure you have scarves for your neck a hat and a very warm jacket. Got jackets at Burlington very reasonably priced and heavy with double lining. Hope this info helps and hope we can link up at meet and greet she is in div 68. Happy holidays to you and everyone and come on January 24th!!!!

as far as the holiday down time for the recruits, I just let her know that is a day to get some rest and work on some things to improve and she agrees.

we booked the Navy Lodge also, Just not sure if they have an indoor pool for my 12year old??

We are also at Navy Lodge. I don't remember reading anything about them having a pool though.

31 days to go!

Hi djk's mom... Don't believe they have a pool at all. Maybe if timing is right we are at the Sprinhill suites Marriot and maybe he can come over there they have an in ground heated pool inside. My 2 boys are 15 and 24 so they could keep him company. We'll have to see how things go but keep that in mind hope that helps. We are coming in Wednesday and leaving out on Sunday.

I may change my reservation to this place ! Price is about the same amd it has a pool

You probably don't need to invest in "snow boots" if you don't have them or need them, but warm socks (wool) would be a good option, and several pair. :) I wouldn't wear tennis shoes (although I do, but I am from Colorado), but a pair of shoes that "can" get wet yet keep your feet dry would be good.

The sidewalks will be shoveled wherever you go, and the roads will be plowed.

any phone calls?? Merry Christmas to all! xoxo

No phone call here. Pretty quiet Christmas this year for us. Hoping you all have a very Merry Christmas!

any phone calls??
