Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 053 and 054
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

Thanks so much for this info, it is nice to have an idea when to expect this big event. I will certainly update you via private msg if he gives me a specific date. I asked him in the last letter I sent, and will also ask if he is able to call Christmas day.
My son is on ship 14 div 54. He is a div. leader. It has been 2 weeks since I talked to him. I can't wait to see him on Jan. 10. I miss him so much.
Just got a call from my son!! Hopefully everyone will hear from their SR today. It sounds like div 54 was adopted out. I am so happy to have heard from him, he sounded excited and happy too!
Does anyone know how we can find out which group adopted our division for Christmas, from what my son said, it was a group of navy veterans (not a church as he had originally said). Hope you all got some quality time with phone calls, facetime etc etc. We sure did and what a wonderful Christmas it turned out to be, we are a VERY happy family but would like to personally thank the group who hosted them. What would we have done without them, I know my Christmas would not have been the same. Roll on Jan 10th.
Division 54 - I sent a letter of thanks to the American Legion Tinley Park, for their wonderful Christmas lunch they put on for our SRs. He said they do accept donations, just mail to the address on their website, I certainly am. What a wonderful gift they provided for all of us. I didn't ask about photos but I see on their site they have 2012 Christmas recruit lunch so I'm presuming they will post ours too.
My daughter is Ship 14, Div 53. A lot of her group (50 SR's) had Christmas at Christian Liberty Academy. There are tons of news stories, a video, and if you look on facebook at the Arlington Heights Cardinal's page, there are a couple 100 pictures from that location. Even if your SR didn't go to this location for Christmas, the people that hosted it have a truly amazing reason for doing this every year! I can't wait for the graduation!

Thank You so much for posting this information. I was not sure where my son went. He is also in Ship 14, Div 53 and I loved seeing all the pictures of them at Christian Liberty Academy. He was in quite a few pictures so it was really nice sitting here at the computer and seeing him. I especially liked that he had a big smile in all the pictures.
