Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 073 and 074
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

Thanks for the info. I wish we had more time to spend with them. I moved to fla a few months ago and haven't seen my son til I visited in November. He couldn't come with because he wasn't sure of his exact date to leave for bootcamp. Having to say goodbye again is going to be very hard as I'm sure it will be for everyone. It's nice to know that there are others patiently waiting for that first letter so we know they are ok. Missing my son a lot right now...
My son told us that he has to fly out at 2am Saturday morning! I'm hoping that might change or that perhaps he's been misinformed. We are staying over until Saturday but are driving so aren't on any set schedule. I think we'll be lucky to spend a few hours with him on Friday!
Hello,
It is very nice to meet you all. My husband is in DIV 073. I am sorta a late joiner but decided it would be nice to meet others whos family members are in the same division. I miss him very much but was glad to get a call on Sat. I assume everybody got a call then? It was so nice to hear from him. I am 5 months pregnant so I was happy to give him a update. Too bad it was so short. Well again nice to meet all of you and hope everybody is well.
Welcome Loti! You can find a wealth of information here and make some friends in the process. :-)
I received a letter from my son today!!! He seems to be doing good. It wasn't too long as im sure they are being kept very busy.
Glad to hear the letters are starting to be received. I can hardly wait to receive one from my SR!
we really want a phone call or a letter :(
I received my son second phone call yesterday around 8:30 he mentioned that his next phone call might be Friday, December 27th I will certainly be close to the phone.
Our son just called his girlfriend about two hours ago! He's been getting our letters, working hard. Telling all his SR mates about us, she says he sounded so happy! He got to talk to her for about five minutes! This has made our holiday! For all other moms, wives and families, be patient. They will call and or write!
