Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 071 and 072

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

My daughter is in DIV 072. I am glad to hear you got a chance to speak with your daughter on Christmas. I spoke with my daughter on Sunday before Christmas and was excited just to hear her voice and know she is well.

Just got a call from my SR in Div 072.  Today is 2-5.    He is assistant EPO and in the secondary quarters.  The EPO is a female and in the primary quarters.  He said all the SRs around him are receiving mail.   He might miss PIR because of medical.  That would be a shame, but he doesn't know for sure.  He says being in a push div is really great and awful at the same time.  He can't wait to leave.  The RDC's are pretty cool because the SRs are allowed up to 12 minute showers!

Thanks for the info Woodchuck mom!  My son is in the same division!  Finally got a letter from him yesterday.  He also can't wait to leave boot camp!

As of Friday (12/27/13) Div 071 is on week 2 day 5.

MrsZ my daughter is ship 3 Div 071.  I did not know there were only 2 girls in that Div.  My daughter talks about all of the girls they bunk with. She has made a couple of fiends already.  What school is your daughter going to after boot camp?

Happy New Year to everyone.  Our SR arrived at BC on December 3 2013, from Ronkonkoma, NY.  His is in Div 072/Ship 03.  Only 23 more days til we see him.  I am glad I found this website.  It has been very informative.

Welcome!  This site is great!  I sent you a friend request and a message.  Our SR's are on the same ship and in the same Division.

Hi pdscoop...my son is in Div 071 with your son and he also left on 3Dec. Did your son leave from Syr too?

Hey everyone, if you haven't already, check out the RTC Great Lakes Facebook page.  Every Tuesday, they have a trivia challenge and whoever wins gets to request a picture of their SR's Division and it will be posted on that Facebook page!  I'm hoping either I or someone else from DIv 72 gets the right answer so we can see a picture of our SRs!  Here is the link:  https://www.facebook.com/NavyRecruitTrainingCommand

I just bought my sons first challenge coin. (Well I think its his first)
