Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 909

Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hi Ladies.  My son is also in Ship 02, Div 909.  I'm just a little late getting connected to this site.  We have received three phone calls, (excluding the day he arrived at BC on 11/13/13) and several letters.  Our last call was on Christmas.  He wasn't adopted by a family, but said everyone in his division who wasn't adopted by a family was able to go to a church for the day.  He was in great spirits and was looking forward to PT.  I'm wondering, where are most of you staying for PIR?  I have our airline tickets and rental car reserved, but not our hotel.  Suggestions??

Thank you, Savannah.  This helps.

K7, we are staying at the Marriott Residence Inn in Waukegan. It got pretty good reviews on this site.
There's a meet and greet?
My SR was adopted for Christmas
Found him on this FB page

My SR told me what he thought the date of battlestations was for this division.  I understand we are not to post it, but if you want to know, just private message me.  (I hope that's okay!)  It would be nice if we could get extra prayers going for them during that time.

ProudMom93, I just sent you a friend request, since I think that is the only way I can private message you.  I'm still trying to figure out how to navigate this site (which is a great resource).

Thanks so much for the link.  I found a great pic of my SR.

Ok I feel really dumb. What is the sarges meet and greet, pir ribbons, and challenge coins?

Today we received a very short letter from our SR.  He asked several questions about his brothers. He ended by saying everything over there is alright and he should be seeing us on the 10th.  I'm hoping everything really is ok.  I know that as of our last call (on Christmas) he seemed very happy but there were still a few who were talking and getting the division in trouble.

I am feeling pretty silly right now, but the other day my sons bunk mates wife and I connected and I cannot for the life of me find her again. Division 909. My Son is Anderson from Texas.

Proudmom, That tracks with what my SR said at Christmastime, that their BS was 1-7-14.
