Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 073 and 074

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Yes, i am a registered nurse..... i work days all week and then work overnites on the weekend.... i have been sleeping with my phone also ..... that is also when i heard from my son , like on the 27th. Are you an R.N also? :)

Are you an RN also, Wes mom.... i think i replied in the wrong spot, sorry ladies..... it was the 27 th when i heard from him last.   i got a letter on the 2nd dated the 25th and then i got another lettter today, dated jan 1st so that one got to me fast :)   ..... i am so ready!!!!  has anyone elses SR have a little cold .... said he had a little cough in the mornings.....

Oh, so you know all about these twelve hour nites for sure :/ ugh!!!  My son is my baby of my three boys also  , he is nineteen.  I know i am kinda getting the same feeling about the phone call also ............ i was hoping for one more but i dont know why i have the feeling that may have been our last one for a minute  I know i can not wait to get my arms around him :))) It will be plenty cold for sure on , i believe Monday over here  We are still waiting on snow here in springfield, supposed to be significant but up there, my son said it had been snowing for days   are you going to sarges meet and greet ? i look so forward to meeting all you navy mommas:)))

Yes, long crazy nights!  . I can't wait to see mine also!  Feels like forever. We are hoping to make sarge's meet n greet. Depends if we can learn to drive in the snow. We are gonna be in for climate shock. Can't wait to meet the families either. Then our son's friends. Memories to last our lifetime. Days are going slower :(   and all of our boys/daughters are growing up. I guess its official now, huh?

we live in illinois and we are still nervous about driving in the snow. we are going to leave fairly early on thursday tho to get up there or at least try to .  i know what you mean, i want these nineteen days to go faster ... :)   and yes, bittersweet but true, they are all grown up:) :(  :/  :)

Have found when I write my son with direct questions, he never really answers the question.  Has anyone else experienced this?  Even when he was home he was great at not anwering direct questions. Haha. I heard battle stations can start about a week before PIR. Out of the 3 calls he made, he called his girlfriend. :(

My soon is in div 74... I have experienced the same things... until my most recent letter they have all been short and not answering my questions then the third (and longest) call went to the girlfriend! :-( in one of my last letters to my son I expressed my feelings about receiving the shortest letters. The letter I received yesterday was the front and back of two pages! Lol he said they have battle stations coming up, two more tests so he won't have much time to write because he will be studying and one more phone call... he wasn't sure when he will get the phone call though! Where is sarges meet and greet?

At least you are getting letters!  My son is only calling and writing to his wife, so I get all my information from her secondhand. :-(

My last call was on Friday the 27th as well! My boy sounded good, happy and feeling like they're finally coming together. He said their division was still struggling, a few holding the group back! Two were rep remanded for sleeping on 'the head' and their punishment was to stand in a box on holiday routine. they had failed their fire drill because their cheif forgot the roll call sheets. This was two weeks ago though. But I know the whole group is often punished for little mistakes made by others, lots of push-ups and standing attention.

My son said the same exact thing but sounded like things are getting some better now i just want these nineteen days to hurry hurry hurry  .:)

I found this Facebook page. .. whoever wins the tuesday trivia each week gets to request a pic of a certain division! Lets try to win it so we can see a pic of our boys! https://m.facebook.com/NavyRecruitTrainingCommand?id=324592704650&a...

Yes!!!  I had a magnifying glass looking at the division photos on this website the other night trying to find a pic of my SR...LOL!
