Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 067 and 068

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Got a letter yesterday! So Happy to hear from him! My son seems to be doing well, but he did say that he is a section leader and that there are still some that are not pulling together as a team. Hoping that they get it together as things are getting down to the wire. Got his coin in the mail yesterday and ribbons 2 weeks ago. Everything is booked, we just are trying to see how we will get his things to him at the airport. We are flying in and out of Milwaukee, leaving Saturday at 1. Is there any other way to get his things to him at the airport in Chicago? We may have to drive there at 3 in the morning, then drive back to Milwaukee early enough to check  in for a 1:00 flight. Any other suggestions?

My son was there last year , and my Sr daughter is there now Div 067. My son suggested the other day a option , that you can apparently go the airport your sr would be flying out and rent a locker there and give him the key on Friday , that way he could just get his things if you were not able to be there when he is there, you may have to contact airport , I can not confrim or say if they have lockers, I have no clue. I also wonder how helpful the USO office is , if you could were to arrange to leave something there before hand or not .

We are in the same boat as you , just hoping that all works out that we can meet her at the airport to give her some items.

Thanks for the tip. I was wondering the same thong about lockers, and if they are available, can my SR take the key back with him? I don't want him to get in trouble. I guess we will have to play it by ear. And I guess we don't know exactly what airport until the last minute, either.

Hello all. I wish I'd found this website sooner, as my granddaughter is just about ready to graduate (Jan. 24). She's in Div. 067. I wish I were able to attend the graduation, but unfortunately, I don't think anyone in the family will be able to make it. I'll be watching the live stream, though, and cheering all of them on!

My nephew is also in that division and we will be attending the graduation. What day did your grandaughter ship out?

Not quite sure what you mean by "ship out". Do you mean, when she left to go to Great Lakes? I believe it was November 24. (Can you tell I'm a 'newbie'?)

Sorry, yes I wondered when she left for Great Lakes. I would be happy to try to find her at graduation and give her a hug from you! You could email me her name if you'd like and I could try to find her that day.

Oh, I'd love it if you would do that! How do I email you?

I sent you a friend request so that I could message you my granddaughter's name.

so very ready to know for sure when battle stations is and see my boy!!

My son is in Division 068.  Haven't got a phone call since early December.  Hope they get a call before we go out for graduation.  Anyone coming from Idaho on here?
