Only 2 weeks and my son will be on his way to starting his new journey!  He has waited so long.  I will hate to see him go, but I am so excited for him!  Anyone else out there have one leaving around the same time??

my son is leaving on the 5th for boot camp too, he is leaving from Michigan.. how about your son?

He is leaving from Memphis

My son is leaving Feb 5th for Boot Camp also!  We live in Illinois so no airport for him but via airplane, train or car, probably feels the same... very emotional and very proud!

My son leaves from Sacramento on Feb 3rd.

My son leaves from North Carolina on Feb. 17th.

FRUSTRATED!! There was a Typo on my sons paperwork.  His contract had a leave date as Feb 5th but they discovered yesterday that his MEPS paperwork and the computer had his leave date the 3rd..... so now he is leaving 2 days earlier.  I know it is only 2 days but that is 2 days less I have with him!

My son leaves 2/4 from Indianapolis.  It seems like we will have a lot of Moms in the same time frame which will be excellent for support.  It's down to one week!  Bought bandaids, moleskin and phone cards yesterday!  My son is looking forward to the next chapter in his life.  At 18, there haven't been too many chapters yet.  Oh, and he will turn 19 while at boot camp.  It will be a first to not be with him on his birthday.

Hoosiermamma....Yes.. the support will be great!...Whats the moleskin, bandaids for? lol   My son was wondering

I hear that the boots cause blisters and ingrown toenails.

On the what to can go to BC, moleskin and bandaids were listed and yes they are for blisters.  Of course, my son says he won't need them.  Down to just 3 days before MEPS.  Had a mini meltdown at the grocery this morning when I realized I wouldn't need to buy half as much as I have in the past.  Bought plenty of his favorite junk food for tomorrow's big game.

We will spend the big game in the hotel at MEPS with him.  He flys out the next day for boot camp.  Like you, the mini meltdowns are coming.  Laundry is what is getting me.  He has done his own laundry for sometime now.  I started that a couple of years ago when I would find CLEAN FOLDED clothes in the hamper.  Kind of glad I did because now he will have no trouble doing his own.  But doing some of his today just to get him caught up has really hit me.  Amazing the things we will begin to miss.

My son leaves for MEPS on Super Bowl Sunday from IL. Then to GL on Feb. 3
