Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Son leaving for BC Feb 5th
Only 2 weeks and my son will be on his way to starting his new journey! He has waited so long. I will hate to see him go, but I am so excited for him! Anyone else out there have one leaving around the same time??

Good luck to all you Feb 5th moms... Apparently mine is leaving 2 days early due to a typo in his paperwork. He is excited... I am annoyed. But still excited for him! Good luck to everyone!

My son leaves from Oklahoma City on Feb 5 for BC! He may have to go to OKC early because we are expecting 4-8 inches of snow on the day he goes. This means I will have to say good bye at home not a happy Mom!

My son leaves for MEPS tomorrow morning then on to GL on Wednesday. I hate saying goodbye. I really hope time passes quickly. The house is going to be so different without him. Lots of tears already. He's sad to leave but really ready. I'm so proud of him. Let the letter writing begin!!

Tomorrow should be it...FS Robert is leaving Feb 5 from NYC. What happens if there's too much snow in NYC or in Chicago. Will they have to stay at the hotel by themselves?
