Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 103 and 104

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hey, I got a letter from my boy yesterday and he mailed it on the 3rd so you should get one today or tomorrow, we are in the Atlanta area too

Got my first letter today.  LOL boy can he use help writing letters.

Goes like this

Hey mom and dad, so finally I can reply to the letters you sent.  I enjoy getting them.  Dad send me the lyrics to Fee Falling me and V.... can't remember them.  All in all don't worry I am fine, love you and take care.

Love (He signed his full name like we would not know who it was)

P.S Send pics of the dog and cat

P.S.S Send stamps all mine got jacked imagine a thief in boot camp.

I have sent the boy questions, list of things he could have told me and that is it. Ohh my.. I am still over the moon happy.

Carrie, that letter was too cute! Every call or letter we receive, no matter how short is wonderful!!

That's awesome! Happy Mom! : )

Carrie, at least he is asking for your dog and cat pictures LOL and mine sign his full name too, it crcks me up every time

Carrie - that's funny but he's probably very tired. I also got a letter, it spanned over several days so it read like a journal. He said they only get like 5-6 hrs a night. They are especially hard on them because they are a sponsored division. He said he barely passed the swim test but the rest he did very well. Many have left including his bunkmate which he found really hard. He misses us and he misses my cooking. I miss him too terribly but really proud of him
Happy Friday Ladies! Countdown clock says 5 weeks, 0 days, 0 hours, 38 minutes, 20 seconds until PIR!!

It will be here before we know it! So awesome to see our SR's PIR date moving up the list!

So I received a couple of letters yesterday - in the first one he talked about having to go to medical for a swollen ankle -- he didn't want to let on that it was bothering him -- but thank God he did -- he had a mild case of athelete's foot but the doctor said this let bacteria in which led to cellulitis in his ankle -- he got a shot and said he's now all clear. When he first told me about it he acted like it wasn't a big deal! Geez! So thankful the Navy is taking care of our SRs!!! He also sent me a piece of notebook paper where he was practicing the General Orders when he first arrived at BC. It's funny because you can see he wrote an order and about half way through it says "asking about his girlfriends" -- yeah -- I'm pretty sure that's NOT part of the General Orders -- he was tired for sure! LOL

The other letter talked about having his bottom wisdom teeth removed next week. He said they are going to 'knock him out' and he's glad because there's no way he'd want to be awake while that's going on! LOL He told me not to worry about it -- that it'll be ok. He mentioned that Valentine's Day is coming up and asked me to get something for his girlfriend and to pick something up for myself if I wanna! : ) He said he's missing everyone more and more each day but he knows it will be worth it -- coming home "to see everyone's smiles with my sexy self in uniform" (yep - he's a ham!) That made me laugh -- but then he also said he'll be coming home "a better man than I was. More of a man. A NAVY MAN!" That made me cry - so proud! : ) Uh oh - here come the tears again!

Awww...sweet and funny! Pick something up for yourself if you want to!  Sounds like your SR is a fun guy to have around.  Such a great letter and he's obviously a NAVY MAN!

He's a character for sure! : ) I think I'll pick up a GIANT box of chocolate just for me! LOL

Popeyesgirl, now that is just sweet of him thinking like that while he is missing y'all and you can't send him anything but letters. I already sent several of different Valentines cards off so mine can feel like we do think about him, I am sure that some days he feels really lonely and alone. we are getting so close to PIR, have you booked your hotel room yet? We are staying at Ramada from Thursday night to Sunday, we thought we would explore while we are there since we are going there anyway.
