Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 103 and 104
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

I posted a few pages back that I chose DIV 103, but they haven't posted the picture yet. I'm patiently waiting!
I got another letter today! :) His phone calls seem so upbeat, but his letters have a more discouraged tone mixed in with all the good news. Probably all part of the roller coaster experience of boot camp. He mentioned that they are held to a higher standard because they are a sponsored division, but that he's willing to take on that challenge. He did say that he gained a lot of confidence with IT once he passed his physical test and that he got zero hits on his rack makeup inspection, so we never have to worry about him not making up his bed again! He is amazed by the size of RTC and said that when they are marching, he always feels like an ant; it's such a big place. A lot of the guys in Div 103 are from the South and he thinks it's fun that he's starting to pick up their accents! Some of his shipmates must be saying "ain't" as well, because he used the word twice in his letter, and that's not a word he ever used around his teacher mom! LOL He told me the last name of one of his shipmates and asked me to keep an eye out for his mom on this site! I may not be able to do that with just the last name, but I'm so glad he's connecting with someone since that is not easy for him. I can tell that the letters we are sending are really important to him, and he even asked me to write some more for the other guys that aren't getting any like I did last week. I have read the letter a few times now and I'm already looking forward to the next one! Less than 5 more weeks!
I think that's great that they are a sponsored division! Did he tell you who sponsored them? I heard a "chief" -- but that's all I got. And I didn't even know what it was about at the time so I didn't ask.
That's awesome about the physical test and rack inspection! I pray mine doesn't get 'dinged' - that's never been a strong suit! Ugh!
I bet he'll be saying 'y'all' too! : )
I will write some extra letters too! I hate to hear some of the SRs aren't getting any! : (
Hi Ladies hope you are all having a good day today... Div 104 did anyone get phone calls today? I know wed. was just a few days ago but wishful thinking for another call....
Hi When I talked to my son Wednesday he said that they probably wouldn't be able to call on Saturday.
Still waiting anxiously to see the Div photo that Erica won. They must be keeping our SRs in 103 nice and busy!! :)
Is it weird that I log in just to see the PIR counter move? I miss my SR so very much today.
Carrie, I hope it's not weird, because I do the same thing! :) In fact, every now and then, I include the count in my letters. I know more time will pass by the time my SR reads it, but still I think he will like to see it going down at least as much as I do!
Laurablue and Karin417, I can't see the PIR counter on my mobile device, only when I'm logged into my computer. Maybe it requires a certain program installed to function?
