While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 107 and 108
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

This is GREAT! That they get to do this now! I wrote him back to telling him to stop complaining. These were things that he was doing since he was 7. The only difference is that there is not any fun electronics (phone,computer,tv, video games, and social media) to distract them from the duties of daily chores. I said to him, "he was groomed for this". This will prepare them for the world. From Boys to Men. This kinda reminds me of the movie 'Karate Kid'. When Mr. Miyagi made Danial-son do the same routes everyday. And Daniel learned later on why Mr. Miyagi had him doing those same chores in a consist way, everyday.
Cleaning the bathroom and ironing clothes. He will always kept his own bathroom polished and walk out of the house with freshly starched clothes.

I got a letter today! He said that div 108 is #2 place of all the 10 divisions. So our boys are coming together! He said he got thru Hell week which was last week. He passed his PFA so he said he will move to E2 at the end of bootcamp! He got the cold that's going around. They gave him a penicillin shot that he said hurt! More shots this week for them. He is in good spirits and everything seems to be going good. He said his RDC is pretty cool. Getting nicer to them! He said they are now the "seniors" and everyone is looking to them now! He said a lot of the snow melted from the 55 degrees they had last week. Pictures are this week! Less than 16 days ladies!!

I'm so excited the time is getting near yay. My fellow is sick also,bless there hearts! He passes all his too,including E2 and he said he is Alfa male of his division. I'm not sure what that means???

I received my letter today. These letters just make my heart smile! So proud of DIV 108! As well as all the other Divisions.
PIR can not come quick enough!!! I miss my son some kinda bad. :-)

Oh this is fantastic, the brother divisions in the lead. I bet it really boosts their moral. My son sounds good in his letter too. Home stretch. Two weeks from know we will all have met in person Sarge's..

The mail man is my new best friend!!!!! Every letter sounds better than the last one. My son has gotten sick or had pink eye, Very thankful for that. He said the whole division are pretty much friends also that there is a group of 6 of them that he is pretty close to. Today I am thankful once again for your boys!!!!! I hope I get to meet some of them at PIR.

I got a short, single letter. Very emotional to read, nonetheless. He said my letters were really helping him get through a lot there. It's so nice to hear that.
I'm concerned though, the date on the letter was Feb 11th, has anyone else gotten letters from that long ago recently? Still no current ones. Maybe the mail system at my college is just really slow. ): -

No, my son told me the mail has been slow and got messed up with Presidents' Day. I usually get a letter every Wednesday from him. But with the weather, it may be slower too or some getting "lost" for a bit!
