Everyone is going to have to forgive me. All this technology is a little overwhelming. I just happened to come back to this site, and wow!!! You guys replied to me! LOL! I am terrible with computers and websites. And my number one helper is off in boot camp! Yikes! I'm retired letter carrier, so all I know is snail mail! Love to read other people going through same emotions as I! Thanks for all of you.

I feel the same way Roxelle

Hope everyone's send off's went well. Proudcorpsmanmom my daughter let us go to MEPS!!! Yea". Thanks for the support. So glad I got that last hug in! Here we go ladies. Kinda not knowing how they are doing for awhile. May god give them all strength!!
Well tomorrow we take our youngest to the recruiter and then will meet her for dinner. Hoping to see her at MEPS the next morning. She says it isn't necessary. Are you guys going with your kids or am I overstepping my boundaries??
My husband is taking her to the recruiters and then we are going to meet her at the hotel later on in the day. We are planning on going to MEPS to see her final swear in and then to see her off. My daughter let me know that each time she has been to MEPS she has seen parents there to be with their child and say goodbye so I really don't feel it's any kind of over stepping. :)
Macksmommy. So glad you said I wasn't overstepping. Went to MEPS and so glad I did. She seemed so happy to have us there! How are you doing??
Same as you MacksMommy, husband's taking him to the recruiter early then we will meet at MEPS around 9am. The recruiter warned my SR that it'll be a lot more emotional with family there, but we wouldn't miss this for anything :)
Maybe that is why my daughter keeps telling us not to come. She has been so strong about going and I have been too. I keep telling her I won't cry. I don't want to upset her, but don't want to miss it. We had her party and I decorated everything for the Navy and she was upset that it was not just simple. My husband said he thinks she is probably getting emotional and that just made it more so. Just want to be with her and do some special things before she is gone
That could be it, maybe it's her way of not getting too emotional? It's a tough spot your in, I'm sorry :( When she looks back on the day, I would hope it would be good memories you were there. Good luck to you tomorrow, I'll have you in my thoughts.
I couldn't agree with you more! My son left for MEPS on the 4th & BC yesterday. I was doing ok until I made dinner last night and there was food actually left over. So many emotions, but mostly I'm just proud!

Check your My Page.

Becab 2. Best wishes to you as you begin bootcamp in just a day right? I know it will be hard to leave your husband and kids for now, but you are making a great future for them. God bless you and thank you for serving our country!!
