For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 111 and 112
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Kitty and Mary, my son is with yours! I am trying to make plans for graduation and wondered what most did. There are so many options and I would love to meet my RI son's friend, Alex and his family. What are you ladies doing for PIR?

Hi Moms, I wondered if anyone knows how long the SRs will have to hang with family and friends if they are going to A school at Pensacola? Would they only get the rest of Friday and then have to be at the airport by midnight? I thought I saw that that would be the case. My SR's girlfriend won't be able to go if it's only that day they'd get to see eachother. :-(

Hi Nicksmom, I am sorry you have not heard from your son and his wife will not give you the address or division.
The best anyone can do for you is pass the message along that you are looking for him, and ask that he send you the information. The members here cannot pass that along to you!!

I'm not positive but I think my son is with yours... he need his wisdom teeth removed also has a cold are you sure that letter wasn't from my son... lol.
I still still don't know a thing after 4 weeks. My son calls his girlfriend and that is how I get my information. I love reading about the letters coming inform the sailors! please keep your comments coming!

Hard to know for sure, but this may be division 111. I can only guess by the ship flag and what the division numbers might be, then compare to what division is in what ship right now. It appears to be division 1 something 1. :)

I am getting worried I have not heard from my son in two weeks? Are we still on for March 21st PIR? The last time I was able to talk to him he was getting a sore throat : (

Got a letter from Hunter on Sunday feeling much better this week!!!! He was in "Hell week" and said he have just been very busy and will not get to call again until Battle Stations! However he is doing fine, which helped me calm down. I start running 5K's to honor him and allow myself time to pray and think about him...You see he was a cross country runner and baseball player in High school, so I decided to honor him I would run cross country two to three times a week every week until I could see him again!!! This helps me cope with the loss of having him here.

@Pray for Hunter, my SR is in div 112 also. I am late at joining this site but it really helps to see that everyone is having the same concerns I have not had a phone call in a few weeks.:(
I think it is really cool that you are honoring your son by running 5ks. :). Keep it up!
