Good luck on seeing your daughter swear in. Mine sore in, ate lunch, had meetings, got tickets for her flight. She thought she had until at 1:30 to leave but they quickly told them all to get your gear and line up by the flag pole and off she went. Wasn't ready for the quick leave, but it was probably better on us. Be ready. Get those hugs in!

Roxelle, I hope you got that few second call.

Check your My Page.

My son just left yesterday March 4th also.

congrats Loralee, maybe our sons will be in the same division :)

Since they are both Corpsman, it would be nice if they could be together, then off to A School together.

My son left for BC today! He was a bit nervous when it was time for our goodbyes. So so proud of him!!!
My son went today too. I held together well. Then I wanted to stay up so I didn't miss the call. I'm so extremely exhausted. I didn't sleep well last night. Got up early for a 2 hr drive. I just got the call just before I was ready to fall asleep.
It seems like there are a bunch of us that just had our kids leave. How are you doing this morning? I think it hasn't hit me too bad. Laundry day is Saturday and I think that will be tough to do all her clothes without her here. Hope some of your kids are in my daughters division. Put my note out for the box this morning. I know it is probably too soon, but I don't want to miss it. Great to be sharing the journey with all of you!!

Good idea Tuttismimi, better safe than sorry.  Looking forward to sharing this ride with you all :)

How was your daughters birthday too. Lots going on with you. Heading to Arizona for vacation soon. Keep the sun shining!

My son did all his laundry and packed all his clothes before he left. He knows how I was when his older brother left. lol (yes I was a mess) He tried to get everything taken care of so I wouldn't have to. My oldest son graduated RTC in May of 2006, did 4 years, got out joined the Army and is now stationed in Germany.

What a great son! So thoughtful. Two in the service. Good for you. So your other so switched to the Army? Glad to hear he likes it. It does seem weird without my daughter. Generally we take about what's for dinner on my way home from work. Miss our talks. Can't wait till I get the box and letter!!
