For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 141 and 142
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Thanks Shannon and yes I am pretty close with his girlfriend, but she goes to college in Joplin MO and we life in Papillion NE so I don't get a chance to talk to her alot. We do alot of texting and facebook messages. I am sure that she probably has already mentioned it to him, she is pretty good about that.

Hi! I just found this group! My son is in s11 div 141. I got a letter from him today and it sounds like things are getting better. He sounded like his old nathan. We are coming up for pir and he will be in gl for a school. This site has so much info it's amazing.

Got a call from Sam tonight. 11/142. Hope you are all hearing from your sons/daughters. It was such a blessing to hear his voice. WOW. I am a proud and thankful Mama right now!!!

So glad you got a phone call. No call for me, and I don't think the GF got a call either. Maybe he had watch. Hopefully I will get another call soon. I was attached to my phone all weekend waiting for the call that never came.

Got my first letter yesterday and my son sounded tired but very upbeat. He said the division is really starting to come together and feel like a brotherhood. Sounds like they are doing great.
