Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 111 and 112
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

There will not be any holds for entire divisions that would delay PIR. Once the PIR date is set for divisions that is the date of graduation.
Just adding my name to this thread as my SR is in Division 112.
Not yet. No call either.
But this is my SR we are talking about; not sure I'll get a call or letter before the "I'm a Sailor" ... he can be like that ... so I am taking the philosophy of "No news is Good News" attitude.
HI MY SR IS ALSO ON DIV 112

Hunter called me last Satruday morning and told me they were on hold but I am not sure if that means is PIR date of 3/21/2014 got moved or if it is still on?
Aww ...
I am guessing, mind you only a guess, that these two divisions are integrated and had to wait on more females to arrive. It is also possible that the weather had something to do with number of recruits arriving to fill the divisions. It is not unusual for divisions to be put on p hold to wait for additional recruits.
Depending on how long their "hold" time is will determine if they will be a push division. Push division get the same amount of training in less time. No worries though as they will still get it done.
I cannot remember where I read this, as I'm all over the place trying to learn anything and everything I can... but the weekends are considered "hold" days. They don't really count, as they aren't training. So if your son told you they were hold on Saturday, it may just be that it was the weekend, not that anything was wrong or delayed. I'm just as new as everyone else here, but that is the way I understood it.
On another note, I got a letter today from my husband. :) Just seeing his hand writing is so comforting. If there is anyone here with a SR from Alabama I believe he is friend with my husband. He also named so many other states as far as making friends. It's good to know they are getting along.
