My son just signed a new contract for Rescue Swimming and got his BC changed to July 29.

Just wondering if any one else is leaving that day?

Also any other Rescue Swimming of Special Ops moms with kids leaving in July for BC?

Thanks Kris(Whatever)

yes that is  a little scary.   I'm just glad they train them so well.does your son have siblings?   mine has an older sister in college actually shes up there towards where you live.   She goes to Ohio Northern. Me and my boyfriend are heading up there this next weekend for her softball games.

My son is the baby so I'm starting to feel like an empty nester.

Yes I have son and daughter and 2 step daughters my son is the only boy...my daughter is 16 and planning on joining navy as well..then I have 19 year old step daughter who dates a army man....in Kansas and I have 7 year old step daughter....I have some friends kids that go to Ohio Northern...good school...

My son just finished MEPS on Monday, Machinist Mate (Submarine) and will be leaving for BC July 15h from Idaho.

Welcome Barb,  Thats exciting about your son on a sub.  July seems to be getting here quick before long we will be seeing them off to boot camp.  Is your son a senior?

Dobimom what special ops is your son in?

Hello!  My son is leaving on July 28th from Allentown PA.  We're still working on learning everything.  Is anyone else finding it to be a lot, or just us?

Novamom it is a little overwhelming read a little every night. I started with things need to do prior to leaving for BC. Wrote some notes of things in order of what we need to do. I am going to concentrate on those things for awhile and then as it gets closer worry about some of the other. Otherwise it's just too much. What is you son doing?

He seems to know the Sailor's Oath (Creed) and is working on the 11 general orders of a sentry.  I was looking through the book, he also has to know all the rankings, ship classifications, and a bunch of other stuff according to the book!  It seems like so much.

My sons recruiter told him to concentrate on creed and ranking...

It is a lot and of course my SR is not the best with sharing info.  This site is amazing and very helpful.  It is a little overwhelming but I just take a little at a time like Novamom.  I am going to concentrate on what the next step is and hopefully it will all fall into place!

Yes same here

Any other July 29th 800 units out there?
