Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 139 and 140

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Jess76 wrote above that Div 139/140 were wearing red scarves, and that Div 140 was going to add a gold anchor to the scarf to distinguish that division.  But red scarves were also mentioned on the main PIR 4/11 page, so I don't know if everyone from PIR 4/11 is wearing red scarves?  If "everyone" wore red, then it wouldn't distinguish much!

Good Morning Ladies!!!  23 more days until PIR!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so excited I can hardly stand it! It's so nice being able to see a light at the end of this BC tunnel. I'm praying for our guys often and can't wait to get to meet some of you all. I tried signing up for Sarge's Meet & Greet but our date isn't posted yet. I hear that we are going to wear a red scarf to distinguish us from the other DIV, is this true? Have a blessed day!

It is my understanding that we (139) are wearing red scarfs. 140 is wearing read with yellow anchors. That's what I was told when I asked as you can see above. We could do something different, but I'd love to get something together that we could tell our SR's. What do all of you in 139 think? Sherry, on Facebook PIR 04-11-14  NAVY BOOT CAMP  9 Divisions   (Division 135-142 and 922) there is a meet and greet that everyone is signing up  to RSVP. You might want to check it out.

ChristphersMom, from the letter I have received from my SR Thursday he sounds wonderful and his division 140 (works with div 139)sounds great. He said this week is Hell Week they get up at 0400 and have 4 inspections and a fitness test that start at 0430. He can't wait for Hell week to end asked for prayers. He said its a lot of hard work but he loves it and he loves his new family. So proud of all the SR and saying prayers for all. As my son would say. GO NAVY!

DebbieA - thanks for the news!  It's good to hear the group is doing well.

Hello, fellow Navy Moms.  No letters this week, sigh.  Hoping for a phone call, but not expecting it really.  Anyone have any info on ship 09/Div 139?  20 days till PIR!  Hoping to meet some of you at Sarges meet and greet, will bring local stuff from my State for the basket.  So glad to have this space to share with you all.  I cant imagine how much more difficult this would be if I didn't have N4M to come to.  It really feels like family with all the support and encouragement.  It feels great to know my son is among peers with caring, supportive, positive families who are so proud of their SR's.  Keep the faith friends

Good morning Mom1314, I have no news to report. However, it was just hell week. I imagine our boys are exhausted, so writing is not top on their to do list. I'd say sleep is a luxury for them. Just keep the faith and in a couple of weeks, all the sacrifices our boys have made will be rewarded with acceptance into the best Navy in the world.
ChristphersMom, Debbie A, Catmomma,Kitchen Kimmi,
No news from my son either. I am sure all is well. It will be over sooner than we think....that is my tale and I am sticking to it! Really looking from to meet you all. Are we wearing pride ribbons to the PIR and if so do we have a specific color?

Just got a call from my SR in Div 139.  By the way, he said there was a mix up last Sunday with the letters going out, so no letters went out.  This coming week we should get double letters.

I got a phone call today! My SR said that there was an issue with the mail department this past week so nobodies mail went out last Sunday, we will be getting this past weeks mail this week coming up. DIV 139 is doing awesome! We have earned 5 flags so far, that's a GREAT accomplishment, way to go #139! For inspections we scored a 4.7 out of 5, that's amazing. My son said that our Ship may wind up making The Hall of Fame, they are doing great at everything and really working well together. This past week was hell week and they are all worn out and glad it's over. My son wound up getting really sick due to the medication the Dentist prescribed after his pulling of his wisdom teeth. He gave him 2 medications that were not supposed to be given to him together. They wound up having to induce vomiting for several hours and he wound up on SIQ and broke blood vessels in both of his eyes. Please pray for him and that he recovers 100% and quickly. He also said that Pink Eye is going around like crazy so pray for our guys. When doing their Marilin Drills my SR got to be the "man overboard". He said it was kind of fun, they had to throw him a life saver to help him.  They got to shoot live rounds with their 9mm and rifle this week, they all liked that. Next week is firefighting and he's excited about that. He is loving the bible study and getting to pray as a unit.

That's all for now, I'm so glad I got to hear from him again. If your SR shared anything else, Please post, I love hearing from others and what they are telling y'all.

My son said they earned two flags (academic and star)and working on the marching flag which he said was really cool. He was sick last week, lost his voice, but sounded just fine today. Said they all did get a talking to for bad behavior, but he swore he wasn't one of the rascals instigating. They got in trouble for someone having a calendar, which they weren't supposed to have and were ITd on Friday. He aid tomorrow is last day of hell week, and that was just fine with him. Told him pick a sailor to take with us for liberty, because no one should be left in the barracks. He said ok mom. So we have adopted a sailor. Hope all you gals can help with that, too. Let's treat everyone to a nice dinner, or lunch. Oh, also, if they don't win a certain flag or something, their curfew will be 7:00pm. Just FYI.
Kitchen kimmi. It's great how everyone shares their SR stories. I didn't hear about the "certain flag" they have to win or 7:00 curfew. Wow the pressure is on, but I know they can do it! Glad your SR is feeling better. I can't believe how many of them are getting sick with colds, flu and now pink eye. This reminds me of elementary school, that is the only time my boys were sick. Next thing you know they will have lice......hahaha kidding they have no hair.
