Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 925

Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

I was really hopeful that a letter would come yesterday, but no such luck.  I just want to know that he is doing ok.  I am so jealous of the families that have received phone calls already.  I miss my young man!!

I am right there with you. Impatiently waiting for the mail to come and I refuse to get more then 5 feet away from my phone. I watched the PIR this morning. I need to hear from him. I have never gone this long without talking to him.
Good afternoon, I feel your pain ladies. I had serious melt down this past sunday but am doing better now. I just want to hear my daughters voice and get the warm fuzzy that she is ok. I keeping hoping every day when we get home there will be one, but nothing yet. Being on Florida it might take a little longer for me to get a letter than catsmom, who I think lives in Il. keeping my fingers crossed for atleast a letter soon.
Good morning. May be today is our day.

I live 5 hours south of Great Lakes in IL, only received formal letter and box.  No letters, no phone call.  Had a bad weekend last weekend waiting for a call.  A week later still no letters or phone call.  But i am staying positive, jealous other families have heard from their kidos and at the same time happy they got their calls.  Made hotel reservations to help ease some feelings.  Keep hanging in there.  At least I know I will get to talk to her May 02 :)

Got a call but my phone never rang :(  But now I have a VM I can listen to anytime!!  My SR did get to call his gf, so she was able to update me on how he was doing. So happy to hear that he is doing well.

I hope each of you got to hear from your SR!!!

Woot-woot,  just got phone call and spoke to our daughter for about 30 minutes.  She started out crying but quickly changed &  was telling us all about what they have been doing.  She said it is hard work but she is having a great time and enjoying the experience.  I am such a happy Mom right now and crying tears of joy for finally hearing her voice.  Catsmom, she stated that the girls have really come together as a team and knows your daughter.  She said that the girls dont really have a chance to get to know the guys very well because they arent allowed to talk in most areas.  Of course she stated that it is very cold up there, which she hasnt been in cold weather in 13 yrs.

Still keeping my fingers crossed!!!  In a letter I gave my daughter info i gathered from your page location and name and told her we are on the group page.  Glad to hear the girls all pulled together :) Little bits of news like this help, keep it coming!

Keeping my fingers crossed for you.  I feel terrible that you didnt get a call, for I know how heart wrenching it is to see posts about talking to them and you not getting one. (sounded really good about the girls really helping each other out & team work.  I told her that is exactly what the RDC's are looking for - having another sailors back)   Are you going to PIR?  Cant wait to meet all of you ladies from our division.

I haven't received a call either.... Not even the Box.... I'm desperate. My husband arrived on 3/5 and I'm clueless... What's going on withe USS Reuben James' mail and calling privileges? Please offer some hope. Is there any way that someone who has spoken with their SR would be willing to let my hubby know I love him?

Sunshine, have you contacted his recruiter.  They should be able to see if he is there and a little bit of information on them.  You should have received his box by now, unless he decided to donate the clothes instead.  (most dont though)  Do me a favor and personally message me some info about your hubby, so that if I talk to our daughter again. Maybe she knows who he is and get him the message.  Our daughter said 3/23 was the first time they were able to write letters out, so we should be receiving mail this week from them.

Ok... I'm embarrased... How do I personally msg you?... Lol
