Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 163 and 164

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Letter from son

Today I got my letter from my son. I had talked to him last Saturday on the phone. He sounds great and is adjusting to Boot Camp... I am so proud oh him I can't even express... He is div 163....Proud mom in Indy

(post copied and pasted from duplicate division discussion)

it was so exciting to get my first letter--my SR gave me the opportunity to say "I told you so" because I did all my research on boot camp while he was all gung-ho "I work better under pressure." Now he's asking for spoilers on what he's gonna go through...at least it gives me something else to write about. :)

LOL I was reading the week by week thing and sent my husband a letter warning him for next week, his fourth week. Now I want to send him one warning him for the battle stations but I also just want him to be in for the surprise LOL When he left he was like "Yeah, I heard they HAVE to give us 8 hours of sleep a night" and he said " I probably won't call you the first night I'm there because it'll be late, so we probably won't do anything just go to bed then the chaos will start the next morning" hahahah When he called me the first night around like 11pm his time I was sooooo tempted to say "hey babe, do you think you'll get to sleep in until 9 tomorrow so you can get your 8 hours of sleep in?" LOL

Oh man, I actually laughed out loud at this..."yeah, we'll probably just go to bed that first night." YEAH OKAY.

I know LOL When he finally did make a comment about the amount of sleep he's getting I wanted to say "I told you so!" but I didn't because I felt so bad for him. hahah

Good morning gals.  I got my first hand written letter from my son yesterday. Did anyone else get a letter yet??  He sounds upbeat and happy.  He told me that he and his bunk mate took the test and got WPO (weapons petty officer).  He is very excited about it.  It was something he was planning on going for prior to leaving for boot camp. I was glad to hear that he is really soaking it all in.  He went on to say that the one thing he really misses is listening to music!  I was surprised to hear it was music and not video games.  Happily surprised I may add.  I look forward to meeting all of you on May 2nd!  have a great day.

KC Go Blue- My husband is a RPO, Religious Petty Officer, he was really happy he got it. I am happy that he's staying true to himself during this journey! Its awesome that they provide opportunities like this for the recruits! Congrats to your son and his bunk mate!
