Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 135 and 136
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

My sons last name starts with W and he is in 135
Centerpieces: They are having a Divisional Competition on Centerpieces. Anyone want to head this up? One Idea I have is: Maybe one of you creative moms can plan to make a "Division 135/136" thing for it and some sparkly stuff or something in some festive bowl or vase. Each of us bring something to put in the centerpiece that relates to our SR. Example: My son's first name is Reese, so I might bring a Reese's Cup Package - we could attach it to a stick and poke it into the centerpiece. Hobbies, Initials, anything that means something to us about our SR. That is simply ONE idea - Let's hear more! I'm game for whatever you all want to do. :)
so, this is for the meet and greet?
And how are we going to find our SR after the graduation, it looks like a total mad house.
Stacy…i like your idea…so my only concern is that there doesn't seem to a lot people coming from our divisions…(i think) i'm gathering that info from the FB page and ours, I'd like to get an actual head count on our divisions that are attending so our centerpiece isn't left bare..haha but i love the pieces of our SRs
i'd like to make it grand!!!!!!! lol I'm a competitor haha…i'm thinking a base that spins and sings haha….now to come up with it…or a rocking ship
Guys…I have bad news on the base….And i hope someone reads this in time..
I have a really bad case of pneumonia…not that any case is good. It started out as bronchitis, and just got worse. My husband is making cease all of my" Martha Stewart creations" as he calls it and rest…which is good because its hard to breathe now anyway…lol And i do have to get better for PIR. I have a weakened immune system because I have Lupus. I don't normally announce it but has got me once again. Any way I'm very sorry…I was in the middle of it…Here is what i was doing…Going to get a plastic bowl and fill it with sand and maybe dye the sand the blue i wasn't sure yet..so we could stick the flags in the sand…then i was putting together the model of the Arizona to put in the middle of the bowl…i got from Kmart for $5..Then i was going to put it on a lazy susan and and make a mechanical arm/ pulley system to turn it.
If i get better in time i still may be able to…its the pulley and building the ship that will take time…and we are down to 14 days….ugh….I'm so sorry guys!!!!! I had this all planed….
Ruth, I hope you feel better soon! I'm glad you your husband is taking care of you :)
Wow, very creative on the base! If someone that is going to get there earlier than me, can help that would probably be best. I have the time to get it done, but my flight doesn't get to OHare until 3:35... I wouldn't be there early enough to get it setup before the M&G started at 5. In fact, I'll probably be late to the M&G.
Praying for your quick recovery! S
Got letter today. Written 3/17&18. Postmarked 3/21. Good to hear from him, but made me sad. I had specifically asked him about friends/best friend: He stated that he doesn't have one, he has more of a work mindset. He said they are lacking in teamwork. They did poorly on their last two inspections so it had gotten rough. He was hoping their Div would earn a 2nd Flag in Drill (1st was academics) the next day. He added to the letter the next day (18th) and said that they didn't pass, were one point off and moods were down. :(
