Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I know. Guess they lost privileges Waited by the phone all day. My daughter called last Sunday. She did say then that they were told earlier that day no phone calls. then they gave them calls. Maybe they had to crack down on them? Wish I knew.

I was told on the site that they are promised only 3 calls. one I am here, #2 at 22 days and #3 I am a sailor. So I guess we need to just appreciate a call if it comes and not wait. A lot of divisions never get more than that.

I think they only send out the mail on Sundays, but they can get mail almost everyday. I always get letters from my SR on Thursdays.

hahaha. consider yourself lucky! I have gotten 1 letter the whole time so far! Tho I know my daughter hates writing letters. As far as I know they just get time on sundays to write and can only mail one day a week. They receive their mail daily but no outgoing. So your son seems to be writing you the max he can!

just got another letter from my daughter! She did send quite a bit of info. the first test the division ":flagged it" their average was over 4.0 out of 5. Then they did a test with putting a ship underway. They finished it with 7 min left, no violations. She said they didn't get their individual scores yet on that one, but as a group did great! So I guess the division is doing well.
