I'm new to the group. My son will be leaving for Hawaii soon. He will be on the USS Texas.

In case you missed it - The USS Texas was involved in Navy Week in Texas. I hope this lets you go to the link, if not, you will have to copy the link and paste to the web.
Hey Linda Girl - I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day too. Since you are in Texas - you probably heard about this Navy Day. We have them in Tampa, Florida too and the last one was called off or postponed or something. I need to find out when the next one is going to be. I will get to see some of those good looking sailors - even if I can't see my own. LOL
Hi lynda n - Ok so I am in the dark here - What is HPU? and by the way 6 years - he must like it there?
I just looked at your page - handsome guy - your son! That picture of him on the boat should be in GQ or one of the men's health magazines - you must be so proud. My son told me that he is going to learn to surf when he gets there. You are almost as far away from him as I am in Florida. How many times have you gone to Hawaii? It has been my dream for so long to go there - now - with my son there - I have my reason.
Hi! Did you guys see the dorm pictures that are posted under "Dorm Pictures" These guys are going to love it in Hawaii. It is a lot bigger than Groton - only two at most to a room - some have there own rooms and finally my son will have a kitchen - he loves to cook and a microwave oven just did not get it. He will eat a lot better now.
Hi navymom2013! I did see the pics! They look great to me except for the bathroom side by side with the kitchen? HAHAHAHAHA I'm sure they are just fine with it!!! Two to a room will be great for them!! Have a great day!
Hi marlene! My Son just received his orders for the USS Texas in Hawaii. We are from Texas as well. :)
He will be graduating from A School in Groton on 7/24/14! I am so proud of my boy!!! God bless them all!
Lindagirl, I don't know if that's a good thing! HAHAHAHAHA Joking!
I will PM you. It would be great to have our sons know we are on here together for them along with all these beautiful ladies!!!
Does your Son have his Dolphins? How long did it take him or is it still taking him? I don't know about these things.
Also, fast attacks are underway longer right? I'm so excited our boys are on the USS Texas!!!!! God bless them all!!!
