I am so excited to see where this chapter of my son's life takes him but I also know I am going to miss him and worry about him more than ever before.  It is one of those times in life you want to be so happy but at the same time you are so sad.

my son leaves June 3rd Also  from St.Louis

Actually he is leaving June 3rd from SL so I am sure they will be leaving together.  Are you going to see him off or is he going alone?

Oh wow, my son leaves from St. Louis on June 18th. Maybe they all have the same recruiter :)

My son leaves on June 3rd from New Jersey. I am getting nervous but he is very excited!

My son leaves from Florida on June 11th.  Getting very excited for him, but dreading the actual good-bye.  Once that's over, I'll be fine!

My son leaves from Pittsburgh 6-10 but we live in south jersey. He signed up in Morgantown, WV. We are excited for him.

My son leaves June 2nd from Atlanta. He is 23 and has been out of the house for a couple of years but lives near me. I am so proud for this decision but so sad I will miss him terribly.

Look forward to hearing more from you as soon as we have a PIR date and can join that group.  Will you be going up to GL for graduation?  We are proud of our son's decision but it not what we thought he would be doing at this point in his life.  My husband and I both think this is a good decision for him and gives him a focus for the future.

Our son is also 23 and has been going to WVU.

My 20 year old daughter leaves June 3rd from Kansas City.  I believe I will be less worried once she leaves- she really is not moving forward in her life right now and her boyfriend isn't the best influence on her.  I pray that she will successfully complete boot camp and that the Navy will give her confidence and a sense of purpose.  I am looking forward to meeting the "woman" she will become when we go to Great Lakes for graduation day!

My husband and I are going to GL for graduation. Anyone else?

We will be going to GL once we know the date.  I think it will be around the first of August since they are leaving first week of June,
