That's great news!! My son also started bootcamp on the 20th. I hope I get the form letter within the next couple of days. I received the box with his phone on Friday. I wonder if everyone that went in on the 20th has the same PIR date?

I hope you get your letter today!

I'll let ellen know so she can get the group going.

What Division?

Ship 03 DIV 219

Thanks.

Hi Elizabethn,  When did your son start bootcamp?  I haven't received the box or letter yet!  I think with the Memorial Day holiday it may have slowed it down.  My son started May 20th, and I'm dying to get the letter to start writing!  Thanks,  Peter's Mom, Tracy'

We are from Boston, MA

Good Morning Tracy!  My son arrived at BC on the 20th. I still haven't received the box but I'm home most of the day today so I'm hoping it will come today in case I have to sign for it.

I hope you all start getting your letters today.  I really wasn't expecting to get it until the end of this week, because according to what I've been reading that was what I anticipated.  So why it came so early, I don't know.  We live in northern Illinois and are only about an hour and a half to 2 hours away, so that might have something to do with why it arrived so soon.

July 18 is the anniversary of my father's passing away.  So, to replace that dates legacy with Ryan's PIR is just precious to me.  My Dad would have been BURSTING with pride!!!

Hi Elizabthn,

The form letter.....does it just give the address where to send mail, or do you get more info?  You said it included the grad date of July 18th?  You're right, your Dad, would be, and (is) beaming with pride!  So exciting!  I wish we could actually invite more people to the graduation!  I have a large family.

The letter has their address, date of grad, gate pass password for your vehicle, guest list (these are what our SR's write in) and other info, including a address for the GPS.  My sons handwriting has never looked better!

I have several more people that want to attend, including my husband and step daughter, but he wanted just our immediate family and his exgirlfriend/("bestfriend"/i dont' know what they are to each other anymore friend! ) to be in the hall for PIR.  So, I'm not quite sure where my husband and other family members should wait.

My brother graduated from BC 30 years ago this summer and we had a whole group of people and we were able to take pictures outside.  I'm sure 9/11 and other recent events forced these changes.

elizabethn, They should wait in the hotel and watch the Livestream and then meet up there later. No pictures outside while onboard the RTC. See PIR Day and Liberty During PIR Weekend to help you know how to plan your weekend.

Peter's Mom, Here is The Form Letter. Invite the extras to watch the Livestream of PIR. It has been down lately. If that happens, you can have a showing of the DVD when you get that.

Thanks, lemonelephant!

I got my son's box today, just waiting on the letter now!
