Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

My son left Seattle, WA on 6/10 for Navy Boot Camp. Anyone else on here leave at the same time? Wondering if anyone may be on the same time frame as I am? Thanks-Donna (Proud mom SR)

900 division are known to be musically or performance inclined. the preform shows for the troops. (from what i hear) What does Honor Guard do? Mine is in DIV 238 I guess that's just "regular" I'm not really positive though

From what i googled, i read that Honor Guard are a "Poster child for the Navy.. absolutely perfect bearing in all aspects. perfect in every way" That's pretty cool, congrats on that :)

Oh WOW, Tears in my eyes I can not believe it...yes if so proud very proud..Thank you for your info. Also one Mom on chat explained that there will be a group by division (939) perhaps is still to early..pls share if you have any updates :)) Bless your Son as well++

By division would be fun to chat with the other mom's within each division. I'll keep an eye out. These forums have helped so much. I was an absolute mess all of last week.
The 900's are the Preforming Division. There's a big write up about it in the FaceBook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/484662688331431/

The Page, 800 and 900 Divisions, will be of interest to you since you have a recruit in a performing division. I believe that Division 939 is Ship Staff/Honor Guard. Honor Guard at the RTC is similar to the Honor Guard in the fleet, but not quite the same, but still a great honor to be chosen.

Ship/Division--How it Works and 800 and 900 Divisions will give you more information about division numbers and what they mean. Yes, Division 238 is a "regular" division.
