Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 227 and 228

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

My daughter is in div 228 is anyone else

My husband is division 227. It really does seem like there are only a couple of us with a loved one in this two divisions!

baby dukie's mama, I got my phone call yesterday too but I missed it, at least I ended up with a voicemail :( I work retail and even though I had my phone on vibrate I didn't feel it. Lesson learned even though I work on a sales floor my phone is staying on LOUD! I did talk to him a couple of days ago though as he needed me to send him some information. I was really looking forward to that phone call so my day was pretty rough after that but hopefully we will get another one from them soon.

No phone call for me but hoping I get mine soon. How did
Your son sound

My fiancé is also in div 228! I received a phone call on Sunday, but it was a quick conversation! No more than 3 minutes! Two weeks down now! Time isn't going as slow, that first week was brutal for me! Seemed to last forever!

Oops that was supposed to be Saturday!

Good Morning!  So happy to have a call on Saturday from my SR!!

He sounded so good.  Made my Heart swell!

My son is in Div. 227!

I got three different envelopes today!! 10 days worth of letter was so excited to see my SR's names in the return address line! I'd been waiting patiently,or so I'd thought! lol Did anyone else receive letters today or yesterday?!

baby dukie's mama, I haven't received any letters yet either. Hope we will get something soon!! My SR said he sent letters so any day now.

Thank you!! I was on cloud 9 when I opened that mailbox!!! He said everything is going pretty well.. Apparently there were some disrespect issues in the first few days, but towards the end of last week it sounded like things were shaping up! He told me about the peanut butter shot and said it felt like he'd been shot right in the left butt cheek! Made me giggle through my tears!! He said they are busy from 0400 until 2200.. He said that he didn't have many stamps so he hadn't sent any other letters to his family, but I took them over to his parents as soon as I received them so they could read them too! We all enjoyed reading them and his mom giggled at all his mushy stuff because this is coming from the baby of the family who swore "he would never get married!" I can already tell how much the Navy has changed him in the letters, he seems so much more responsible already! He did mention a few names if anyone would like to message me! Since I know I can't list them off I will list their last name initial and you can personal message me! He's in division 228, last names start with a V, a W, and a S.. One would be his bunk mate and the others are in the bunk next to him! Hope you all receive your letters soon and keep writing to them, don't forget to add in some extra stamps!!
So glad you finally received your letter and he is doing well!!!! :)

I received a call yesterday too! My SR sounded good, but he too is frustrated... He said they still aren't learning to just keep their mouths shut! He said they are doing lots of extra workouts because of the few who can't follow the directions.. I feel bad for them honestly.. I would not be a happy camper because of these few...

Hope we get to hear from them again soon!! :)
