So soon after high school graduation, but I know my daughter would leave sooner if she got the call. My corpsman in training has been ready for this day for 6 years.

My son leaves 7/8/14.  He will be leaving us on 7/7/14.  He didn't want us to drive the 4 hours to MEPS to see him off. He holds onto the idea that it is not that big of a deal since he will see us in September.  September seems like a long time away to me!

My son is leaving on July 8, My emotions are all over the place. Trying to enjoy this last week with him. The days are going so fast. We are so very proud of him.

Our son Jon leaves 7/8 - taking him to recruiter today who will drive him to MEPS. we will have dinner with him tonight and then see him sworn in tomorrow. Enjoyed a good, last night with him including a slumber party on our bedroom floor with his siblings. Repeating this process in three weeks should be easier when his twin leaves for BC on 7/29...it's an emotional July this year!

My husband just left with our son to the recruiters office.  We will meet him tonight at the hotel for diner.  Then tomorrow go to MEPS to say goodbye.  Seems unreal right now.  ((HUGS)) to all you ladies who's saying goodbye to our sailors this week.

I got the call!  It's real!

Got the call today!

Cleveland today....fly to Great Lakes tomorrow.... Wherever she goes, my heart goes with her. I don't know how I'm making so many years. :'(

Check your My Page.

hi everyone, my fiancé was set to ship out on 7/8 he stayed at a hotel overnight and flew to GL on 7/9 (yesterday) i received his "scripted" phone call last night. does anyone have a loved one who also had these same dates? If so please let me know our loved ones may be in the same division!

My son left July 8 as well.  I'm wondering who he is with and a lot of other thoughts going through my mind. Most of all... I miss him terribly!

My son left July 8, also.  I miss him so much.  Anxious to get address and pir date.

My son arrived at RTC on July 8th too!  I was surprised at how sad I was even though I am so proud of him.  It is hard.  Looking forward to the letter...
