On Wednesday July 16 from 1 to 8pm @ Trinity CRC, 60 Port Sheldon in Grandville, 49418, I have scheduled a card making day for Operation Write Home. You are welcome to stay the whole day, but if your busy life only allows you to come for shorter time that is fine too. We will have assorted card making supplies, but if you are a card maker we are encouraging you to bring supplies (ex:slicer and tape runners) along to share, or you can stop at the nearest craft store and purchase some. You will have your own table to work at. A light dinner and snacks will be served. If you would like to come please RSVP (we need to know how many tables to set up) and go to OWH website to get an idea of what they expect of the cards we make..Never made a card, we will help you or you can make Hero cards. When your sailors go on deployment you can request a box for their boat or ship, but you would need to check with the ombudsman. We have also scheduled Aug 20 for a card making day.
I am re-posting this. This will be a fun day and a nice way to chat and get to know one another. I have not had any responses to next weeks card making day. There are a lot of new people that have been posting lately, bring a friend that does cards or Stamping-up. You are welcome to make a couple cards for your son/daughter. Any Hero cards can be done by a novice.
Looking forward to meeting some of you!

I hope you do make it. I'm still unsure of my schedule for August 20th because I may go visit my sailor in Maine, but Tysmom provides a nice lunch and making the cards is fun!
