For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 247 and 248
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

"A" school in Great Lakes for 3 weeks. Also found out that she will be on liberty for the entire weekend after graduation. Did your daughter go in right after high school or been on her on before this?

She went in right after High School. My daughter goes to Pensacola, FL after boot camp. That's great you have the weekend with her!! Wonder if we will....

My daughter's bunk mate's initials are S.P. She's wrote about her in her letters. Gets along great with her!

Good for them! Academic flag! I think it's the girl power!!! My son in 247 also said he did very well so I'd like to think the brother divisions are striving together. Yay! Nice to know they are all doing well.

I need a little guidance on what to wear to the graduation.....I realize that sounds trivial but it is stressing me out...

Toni I'm going go go boots and a mini skirt. Kidding. That is always my go to response. I'm thinking may be a sundress type thing I can put a sweater over. From the look of the videos it is all over the board. Thinking I might want to dress it up a bit for the kid though. Is that a mini in your picture?
