Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Left for BC July 28th

Son shipped out yesterday July 28th got the phone call earlier than expected around 10 PM 22:00. Anxiously await the "BOX" and then the letter. 2 year dream started.

My son left 7/29. Got phone call from his cell when he landed. But no scripted call.

His cell phone battery may have died and he didn't want to borrow a cell phone from another recruit or perhaps he didn't have time to make a call on a borrowed cell phone or perhaps he called someone else. If he was unable to make the "I'm here!" call he MAY be able to make a make up call. Those can happen any time during P-days, and sometimes come on the weekend. Thanks. I'm sure that his phone died and he figured he already let me know he was there. I thought they had to make the scripted call. Thanks for the link. I have been a military wife for a long time. Military mom is a different story. For me at least

Got my letter today PIR 9/18 really surprised thought t would be the 26 th. I'll take it. He was able to add a mama love you and miss y'all.
