Just my first call from my SR 10 day after p-1. I just love hearing his voice. He misses his mom, cell, and girlfriend. I'll put me first...lol

I am longing for that day. You lucky mom. My recruit has been there since the 8-8. PIR is scheduled for 10-3. I rec'd the box and his letter. I dreaded opening his box fearing the rush of emotions I would feel. It smelled of stinky socks and not like "him" like I anticipated. I was never so happy to smell stinky socks and shoes (as odd as that sounds). He is in Div 313.
Gayle, join PIR 10/03/2014 TG 47 to connect with others with loved ones training with your SR. Divisions 313 and 314 are brother divisions and train together and will have Battle Stations-21 (BST) together, so look for others with loved ones in either division. There will later be a discussion within that group for the two divisions.
Thank you, I'm still trying to figure this all out. You have been a wealth of info.
You are very welcome
HI Gayle, That day is coming soon! I sure know what you mean by the smell! :) My SR rolled up his boxers and placed them in his boots, he must have known I was going to need a good laugh :) We had actually talked about it a few days beforehand. I did hold his shirt for awhile sniffing his cologne :) while the cats laid in his box, afterwards they wander through the house looking and crying for him, laying on his bed, almost a week now since receiving the box. WOW, a week! He is PIR 10-3 Div 310
Look me up if you'd like to chat sometime! Your definitely in the right spot for support, information, ect!!
I hear ya on the order krags5! :) So happy you've heard from your SR!!
I got a call from my SR at about the same time on Saturday. Hearing his voice was wonderful, but made me miss him a little more! He is in DIV 310, PIR Oct 3rd also. My son misses his cellphone too!
